HOT TAKE: I really enjoyed the marvels. There was really nothing wrong with it. I thought the team up between the 3 marvels was cute. And iman vellani as kamala stole the show. Sure, the villain was mid, but that was the only thing wrong with it. Everything else was great! People are just hating to hate, every time a new marvel project comes out.

"People are just hating to hate," I loved quantumania, Loki season 2, guardians 3, but the marvels was mid, just like you said, the villain is mid, but also the chemistry between the 3 was not bad, but when it came to the plot and storyline it was terrible.

The Marvels deserved far better. It was fun & entertaining. Not perfect, but it was true to the characters of Carol, Kamala & Monica. The random power switch was well done. We also got to see S. W. O. R. D., and Nick Fury & Maria Hill again after Spider-Man: Far From Home. If it had a flaw, its that the hero worship/appreciation relationship between Ms. Marvel & Captain Marvel should've been given more screen time. Marvel's Marvels: Snapshot- Captain Marvel oneshot had a scene where Kamala & Carol meet that should've been seen in the film.

I loved this movie. One of the most fun experiences watching it in cinema and one of my top projects post endgame. Such a blast. The cast and chemistry were great, fight scenes were 🔥 the switching was awesome. I wanted more time with the characters, especially Kamala, one of the best characters in years. The development for Captain Marvel was there and let her have more fun with it but also continuing her story from previously. It was a much needed palate cleanser, alot of projects have just felt convoluted and built on fan service aswell as longer than they should be. This carried on an existing plot clearly without dragging anything out. It was well overhated before it even came out, it didnt get the promotion it deserved due to the strike and people forget to take that into account.

Marvel seems to be making Carol Danvers more like Genis-Vell than Captain Marvel. The entire movie was inspired by Genis-Vell comics. Marvel should treat Carol Danvers like Carol Danvers.

The plot was weak, the acting seemed forced on Larson’s part, adding Jackson to the movie made it worse since he basically phoned it in for an overpriced paycheck and the ending made no sense. The multiverse is pretty much dead as a plot hole which Ryan Reynolds addressed in Deadpool & Wolverine and nailed. It’s a sad excuse to mashup characters instead of writing good stories that don’t involve multiple versions of the same character. Marvel has taken a loss on every movie the last 3 years except Spider-Man and Deadpool which both had something in common. Good plots, great stories and NO pushed narratives.

All that cgi on Beast was atrocious & hard to look at. Fox knew how to mix practical effects, prosthetics, makeup & cgi to get the best looking designs in their movie. This is an immediate bad look cause you can tell that Disney is gonna be lie incredibly lazy & will likely over rely on cgi. Can’t believe they did my boy Beast like that, that cgi looked so bad.

The Marvels is literally the worst MCU movie of all time. And it isn’t just me saying this. It’s most of the MCU fandom. The ratings says it all. Awful script, lazy writing, unfunny characters, dragging pacing, awful villain, atrocious cgi, and poor storytelling. Yes, I found this even worse than Love And Thunder, Quantumania, and She-Hulk.
