YHVH is the name of the Trinity. It is an entire systematic theology in four characters.

Seeing that Moses' own mother had the name Jochebed (the "Jo" there is the shortened name of God), Moses at the burning bush could not have been the first time that Name was revealed... But inasmuch as the Apostles were content to rather translate rather than transliterate that Name, I think we are better off not knowing its real pronunciation (if a real pronunciation even exists). The Name of the Lord Christ is already taken in vain so often by the ungodly, we needn't give them another Name to blaspheme.

There's a scripture (I think in Rev?) that seems to indicate that a NEW name for the Lord is revealed to us in heaven. In other words, God kept back a name for Himself that no one knows. And the Saints receive new names as well. Wish I could recall the reference.

@@kristenspencer9751 Yes, I believe you have in mind Rev 2:17, 3:12 and the like (mind you, the white stone I believe refers to Christ Himself). The saints receive new names in Isa 62:2 and 65:15. But I believe this refers to the Gospel Church receiving the name "Christians" at Antioch. (Quite fitting for her to be named after Christ her husband)

You have no idea of what you are saying my friend. Josephus refers to the Tetragrammaton as being pronounced as 4 vowels YHWH = IAUE Just like our God is simultaneously God and Man. His name is simultaneously 4 consonants and 4 vowels. And transcends the very laws of language. Since He is the author of them. Give me 1 name that is written as 4 consonants yet pronounced as 4 vowels. Only the Holy, Glorious and Blessed name of Yahweh breaks the laws of language.

Yahweh is a false name made up by 'scholars' who did not believe the correct Hebrew pronunciation had been preserved, ignoring the fact that Jewish Rabbis had always known - the 'secret' being passed on generation to generation since the Babylonian exile - and that Martin Luther had persuaded a rabbi to tell him - which is why he began a long tradition of rendering God's name YHVH as Jehovah [in German the J being pronounced Y] and so the anglicised form - maintaining the German spelling but using Anglicised pronunciation - became the classical Jehovah - used by evangelicals into the 20th century. The correct Hebrew pronunciation is Yehovah

Don't get hung up on semantics. The point is that there is no other God; YHVH is the only true God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit are Three in One God.

That came from plugging the vowels from Adonai into the consonants for the divine name. What proof do you have for your claims anyway? How do you know that it’s false? Don’t you think it’s possible that maybe Hebrew scholars over the last several decades might know a little more about Hebrew than us slay people?
