Hello Adrian, After owning my first D750 since early 2017, I recently decided to buy another used D750 in Near Mint condition. I recently took one of the bodies with me to Vietnam for a tour of both Hanoi and the battlefield at Dien Bien Phu. The D750 and the Nikkor lenses I took with me allowed me to record the trip of a lifetime (I am a student of the Battle of Dien Bien Phu). This was is and always will be a great camera and I am glad I have two. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Paul Connors Randolph, New Jersey, USA

I own a D750 (purchased as a used camera in 2018), very happy with that camera, with no intention to ‘upgrade’, and a D700 (also a Nikon F - actually Ftn -from 1969!). It does all I need it for -and more (street and travel photography).

A wonderful camera. I recently went to Yosemite NP here in the US with the D750, which I find lighter and easier to hand hold than the D850 when I am going to be on the move for the whole day. Always amazed at the exceptional images this old friend is able to produce.

My first Nikon was the D750, brought in 2018, superb camera which i still have, i have the D810, D850 and D780 as well. Use them all regularly especially the D750 and 780....780 handles low light situations better but otherwise they are both great cameras...keeping up the good work Adrian 👌

Hi Adrian, I bought my D750 second hand off eBay about 4 years ago, it’s a workhorse and still going strong. I don’t use it as much as I’ve got a D780, again second hand off eBay, as my main camera. The D750 is mostly used for timelapse’s now. I won’t be selling the D750, if it dies then I’ll proudly display it on a shelf at home. Cheers Brad.

Hi Adrian, some true words, buddy! What we also shouldn't forget is that photography is art. And the approach is essential in art. It also contains the tools we use and so our cameras. Do modern cameras offer advantages? Yes, they do. But no one forces us to use them. I completely understand you sticking to your D750. You are happy with that camera, so why selling it? Thank you for the video and enjoy your Christmas weekend, Christian

Adrian, great video. YOU ARE SO RIGHT! We all, myself included, get so wrapped up in gear talk and what the latest gadget is. Cameras do not make great pictures, that is a fact. You can still get great results even using a 6 MP camera. Like you said, it is understanding the negatives and exploiting the positives. Again, thank you and keep them coming!!

2017 brand new with battery grip, very easy to use camera, great RAW images full of contrast and I have learnt to just underexpose with it as you can pull so much detail out from the dark side. I use 20mm 1.8 AF-S, 35mm 1.4 Tamron SP, 45mm 1.8 Tamron SP, 85mm 1.8 AF-S, 150mm 2.8 Irix macro MF. 70 to 200mm 2.8 Sigma EX DG OS HSM II. Purchased a Z6II with FTZii and battery grip, Battery grips due to Arthritis in wrists, the 45mm Tamron had to have a factory upgrade to work with the Z6ii and FTZ. I cover all sorts of photography and love all my kit, Four Nikon flash units 2, 600, 1, 700, and 1, 900. The new, when it arrives Viltrox 135mm 1.8 LAB lens might find its way into my kit.

My first digital camera was the d750 and it has been great for landscape, Astro and wildlife life elk, bison and wild horses that move more slowly than birds. As such, while I did upgrade to the d850 several years ago, I still use it at times when weight and size are a factor or I take it on overnight kayak trips. No consideration in selling it, as it’s too good to give it away at the money you’ll receive, and it functions well as a second camera.

I went so far with not upgrading then I downgraded recently. You can welcome me in "Team Nikon" now with a Z7 and a Z fc. :) I switched from Sony as I realized for what I do I didn't need their superb AF. I have to add the little Z fc stole my heart right away... :) The change saved me enough money to take me to Scotland again. Same with the D850. I bought a Z6ii for IBIS and lens adaptability, and what I didn't realize at the time, just how good it is to be able to focus on the whole screen, otherwise......

I've owned the D750 since it's 1st production year. I bought and used it for years as a concert photographer and have always been happy with it. I ude a D500 for nature and wildlife photography. The only thing I've not been happy with the the D750 is the auto focus are uses much less of the viewfinder. It's not a problem for concert photograpgy but made wildlife photography more challenging. I did just pick up the Z6iii mostly because I want to shoot wildlife video and feel Nikon DSLRs video capabilities aren't that great. I will also like the better auto focus the the Z6iii. Still I won't be getting rid of my D750 anytime soon.

I just asked myself the question is my camera doing what i need it to do, and the answer is my D850 arguably the greatest DSLR ever to grace gods green earth is YES, even though technically you have to be on your game to get a sharp image with that high a resolution, was much easier on a smaller 24 mp sensor, when you know what you're doing nothing beats the image from a D850 .. nothing, nice video, some great images :)

My D750 is still my camera of choice, having got an immaculate, barely used one off eBay in 2018. It just does every i need. The AF is fast, the colours are excellent, so upgrading now seems pointless.

I will going to Africa in a few months and am thinking about getting a second camera to take with me. I was looking as some used D750's. Your review was very helpful. I'm not a professional photographer. I just like taking pictures. So I don't need the latest and greatest camera. But I do want to have absolutely everything that I need to take amazing pictures in Africa and backup. What lens would you recommend if I go with the D750 as my second camera?
