Excellent video! A possible reason for the small delta between the 991.1 GTS and the 991.1 GT3 may be the engine problems that plagued the GT3. I would rather have a car that I don't have to worry about the engine having issues. A JD Power survey noted that the 2015 911 Carrera was rated the most reliable of all modern Porsche 911 made. The 2015 991.1 is the best 911 GTS. It's a reliable supercar that you can keep for life that will not give you problems. My Porsche mechanic says the 2015 is the year to get!

I’ve noticed the premium for the Targa style 911 is significant regardless of the trim level. Would love to see some analysis of the targa value hold compared to the coupe and cabriolets.

Good spot. Later this year there will be a video on the Targa premiums :)

Thanks for another great video. Pro tip: don't drive a GT3 if you want a GTS. I test drove a 991.2 GT3 and a 911.2 GTS the other day. Both were manual cars but the GTS was really boring

Can you please provide how would you rank each out of 10 and how much each as well?

@@chasem3549 They were both around 200k. The GTS was a PTS Maritime Blue manual and the GT3 was Guards Red manual with carbon buckets and PCCB's. The GTS was a 7/10. It just felt like any other sports car honestly. A luxury version of a Toyota GR86. The GT3 was a 10/10. Best car I've ever driven. I bought one and put 7k miles on it in 6 months. It's only downside is the long gearing. At the end of 2nd gear you're doing 85mph. It's hard to have fun with unless you live in the mountains. I traded it for a 2015 Ferrari 458 Spider but honestly I really regret it.

@@mg-by7uu makes sense. What made you pull the trigger in ditching the gt3 over the ferrari? And how did the gts come at the same price as a gt3 for 200k?,
@mg-by7uu2 жыл бұрын
@@chasem3549 I moved to FL where there aren't any fun roads to drive. Everything is a straight stretch and it's filled with traffic so it wasn't very fun here. The long gearing was really killing it for me. I'm on the list for a GT4RS so hopefully I get an allocation because that's what I really want. The 458 is great and all but I miss that GT3 sound.

The 2016 911 GTS is the sweet spot. The prices are increasing across the board since its the last of the N/A cars. They prices will continue to climb on those cars - and you are correct about the stop sell. Although they are just moving them to non Porsche dealers who overlook it.

Would it be possible to share your code for the charts that you make on your blog or website. As someone that works in data science I always like to learn new chart types and ways of using them. Great videos btw!

Any idea when 718 prices will drop? When may it be a good time to pull the trigger in your opinion?
@fourwheeltrader3 жыл бұрын
I think it's reasonable to assume that the 718 will follow the market trend. Keep an eye on that.

Thanks for your response. Open to 981 or 718 depending on what’s out there in the market - looks like I’ll have to wait a while!

What's the value of a new 992 GTS going for now over sticker? The value of my '22 GT3 is crazy now! Also, have a 992 Python Green GTS Coupe. I tried to get a Targa but that didn't happen. With the production slowdowns now, are they going for a premium? Thanks.

You should compare Carrera S models equipped with GTS options compared to GTS base or similar. A comparable analysis.

That would be interesting indeed. Unfortunately, the data quality not good enough as many options are not mentioned or are wrong.
