Honestly I have to agree that the women in TCOFS outshine the men not just in overall characterization and depth, but also in playtime. When it comes to the other games, here's how I see it: UD: evenly split TQ: the girls slightly overshadowed the men MOM: evenly split again LH: the men slightly overshadowed the women HOA: the men totally overshadowed the women TDIM: the women totally overshadowed the men.

It all depends on whoever writes the story, maybe the writer had more interesting ideas on the women then the men. It's a very subjective topic but the fact that the women had the majority of the screentime is a major factor. Female characters in horror media always had this "spotlight" shining on them, there is a reason why one of the horror cliche is called the "Final Girl". Honestly this debate could go beyond SMG and could perhaps become an analysis on the concepts of horror in media but this is way beyond my knowledge.

Hello :) I agree that the women outshine the men in TCOFS, because except for Stan and, to a lesser extent, Sam, there aren’t any memorable scenes with any of the men. The women take the spotlight, which was great to see. Honestly, every “important” Supermassive game that isn’t a part of the DPA has great women: Until Dawn, Hidden Agenda, The Quarry, The Casting of Frank Stone … meanwhile, I think the first time the women outshone the men in the DPA was in The Devil in Me. So I hope that whoever wrote the women in TCOFS will also write them in Directive 8020 ^^ See you :D

It's great to see to strong independent women take a shine rather then just having men needing to save a damsel in distress. Maybe it's a reference to the fact that in Dead by Daylight the females are more commonly played as compared to the males.
