I just started in Construction in 75-76 doing Drywall hanging and taping and work on several house on Spring Valley Lake, right on the water, as there wasn’t a lot of homes there yet. I was still a kid back then and I remembered the Lake being pretty big! In 76 moved to Vegas, and in 84 to Southern California, we have family in Vegas so we would make several trips a year back! It was probably 88 when I decided to go look at Spring Valley Lake, of course at that time it had built up quite a bit, but what kinda shocked me was the size of the Lake, I was like, did they drain half of it😁Things always look bigger when your a kid, Right!

Absolutely things seem bigger when we’re kids 🤣 Spring Valley Lake is still a great area. I do love that it’s a private lake. I’m sure back then there weren’t as many houses. I remember my Aunt living there when I was a kid and I would always get the streets mixed up😂 Thank you for sharing! Always wonderful to hear of people’s memories ❤️
