I ran a hobby farm with Chickens, and I let my chicken roam freely around the farm. When I did that their eggs were delicious and the yolks were way darker than store bought eggs, and because of that we sold our eggs out every week when we went to the farmer's market. The best tasting eggnog you'll ever have is made from free range Chicken eggs and whole cream! I only made it twice and I can still remember the taste of it over ten years later, that's how good it tasted!
@user-McGiver11 ай бұрын
corn gives that rich color to the yolk... it's just color though... nothing more!... having the chicken out eating little stones helps them dissolving calcium, and make the eggshells thicker and stronger... but that's just that... minor details... all you need for better sales, is better packaging [Chicken, Turkey and Pig farmer here!...]

The head porter told him not to be concerned if he saw the odd cockroach at night. It was an old hotel (though 4*) and roaches were a fact in old buildings. When Rod asked why they didn't get rid of them the head guy said 'Come with me, and keep very quiet.' So, they crept down into the kitchens and they could hear some rustling about. Then the head porter turned the lights on and the floor was a sea of cockroaches that went crazy to hide away. 'You can't get rid of them. As fast as they're trapped and killed off, the new lot are ready to go.'

And then they are disposed of swiftly after use, as the reason for them being taken care of in such a way is to condition them for a specific use. Their actual survival or happiness matter only as long as it helps them be more useful. Not to mention that raising humans with great comfort, gifts and luxuries to then be used for specific purposes already exists. It's called grooming and it's frowned upon by well educated people. If you appear to have qualities worth grooming you for, you could easily find someone willing to pay for your expenses in exchange for having their way with you. This, obviously, is undesirable for self-respecting human beings that are unwilling to compromise their freedom and integrity in exchange for comfort. If you wish to argue some people aren't born attractive or with desirable qualities, thus rendering them unable to exploit this neat feature of life, I'd like to remind you that any specimen of a species that is "faulty" or "subpar" are often ignored or discarded in projects wishing to breed or raise animals for specific uses. If you're undesirable, or seen as so, you're fucked regardless of which species you belong to. If you're desirable, you'll attract all kinds of attention regardless of which species you belong to.

I was a veteran nurse and I was able to perform any tasks but NOT this. Those lab hatched leaches were flown over from NY lab all the way to the hospital in NW USA. Each costed $21 back in the early 90s. I knew exactly what to do but I just could not see myself handling them. I remember I was trying to retrieve one from the sterile water container with my gloved hand. As soon as I saw them swam toward my hand and started sucking on my fingers I lost it. i cant be the 1st human to come up with the idea that we can grow deep underwater creatures, not so deep. I'd name it, Compressed water tanks...Us humans already have giant tanks made from steel, holding all kinds of compressed materials. This Compressed water tank, can be equipped with water pumps, to simulate water movments under the ocean
@dragonmaster13606 ай бұрын
@OmarTheAtheistAziz You're the "first", because it's practically impossible. Water cannot be compressed like that. It takes an IMMENSE amount of force to compress water very little, comparatively. So much force, that water is usually considered "uncompressable". It can be compressed, water pressure in the ocean is proof of that, but the force required is IMMENSE. It may not even be humanly possible right now to create tanks capable of pressurizing water to the levels it would be 8000 feet below sea level.

XD I raised rats too but that was for pets and sometimes for shows. Again, way smaller scale. I wish I had the space for a black soldier fly setup- the larvae have excellent nutritional value and the adults are not only kind of pretty but so delightfully inoffensive- at that stage the flies exist only to mate so they don't have mouths and can't bite you, and their flight is totally soundless. Keeping them for jumping spiders would be amazing because I hate dealing with houseflies, which are noisy and harder to catch if they escape. But dang if jumping spiders don't love their sky raisins.

In case of fish food fly lave are a way better source of food. And what they are doing with mosquitoes is actually pretty smart. Giving them useful bacteria that make it so, they don't carry harmful viruses. But what they are doing now is actually smarter. keeping existing ecosystems intact (otherwise another species would just take over)
