as someone who spent two years living there I have so much to say on this topic I wouldn't even know where to start! a few things that come to mind: never go there with the intent of starting a business in the physical world if you have some sort of income that you can make reliably online that you best bet that's what I did I wrote books on Amazon I wrote a lot of them as a matter of fact over 800 of them I lived in the Philippines 12 years ago and am still getting paid. I did that out of desperation because the Philippines is a place you do not want to run out of money because people are just simply not able to help you and if you think the American Embassy is there to assist you you got another thing coming. so you may have visited the Philippines on vacation and think you have a grip on what it's like to live there I assure you you do not. it takes at least six months to really get your sea legs and understand what's really going on... I'll give you a funny example. if you go into a store and ask for something and it's not on the shelf they will say "sorry out of stock" as an American you might be thinking oh well maybe it'll be a few weeks and they will get what I'm looking for back on the shelf..... that's not the case at all! what really means is they don't have it now.....and they may NEVER have had it lol imagine the time you would waste going back to the store again and again and again looking for something that was never even sold! it's a cultural adjustment to be sure but as far as the lifestyle for the average person let's say $3000 a month you're not going to live like you do in America or anywhere else in the Western world... It's really more like an extended camping trip with about the same amount of amenities..... and you're going to have to get used to a few thingsyou may not like... one is you're never going to have a moment of peace and quiet. It's either going to be roosters crowing at all hours, 150cc Trikes whizzing past your house with no mufflers or videoke blaring 24-7. it gets to be a bit of an insane asylum for people that enjoy peace and quiet.... ask me why I don't live there now! don't get me wrong I love the place but when it's time to go home it's time to go home I rarely stay longer than a month

Mabuhay from Australia! 🇦🇺🇵🇭 In 2022 I traveled around the Philippines with one of my closest friends! (met online during Covid in 2020), Landed in Manila, and went to Baguio, La Union, Vigan, Laoag, Cebu, Boracay, and then back to Manila and then early this year we travelled around Bali, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Thailand (Phuket, Ko Phi Phi, Railay, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Bangkok, HongKong + Singapore) I think travelling really made my friend appreciate the Philippines a lot more, and more passionate to explore and see more of the Philippines! Sometimes people do leave, expecting a better life overseas, but realise that there is a lot to miss and value back home. I meet a lot of Filipinos here in Canberra, and they are always surprised I have seen so much of the Philippines! I am super excited for you to see Australia Pea! There is really so much to see! Did you know, the Great Barrier Reef is actually BIGGER than the Philippines by itself? :o I hope you get to visit some of the areas outside of the big cities - there is really so much more to Australia, and some of the quieter spots are a much more authentic and unique experience than the cities! I wrote up an Australian Bucket list for my friend to do when they come here, but you are welcome to steal a bunch of inspiration from it! :D

always nice to watch your vlogs, Pea. I will just turn 75 when I venture out to the Philippines. Being in good health, I am currently living with my son and family. even though I love my family and grandkids, I still like being out on my own. I've been with my son for over 3 years now, and now I'm getting to the point, I need to do some new ventures while I still can. My Filipina daughter in-law turned me onto the possibility of visiting her country. since my son and daughter in-law both want to move to the Philippines in about 5 years, due to teenagers in school right now who don't want to move there, I decided to look into the history and culture of the Philippines. I've had many discussions with my daughter in-law and her friends, all Filipina's, and after 2 years of watching vlogs and doing research, I'm going to take the leap and go there. My initial plan was to just visit there for a couple months, but now I'm thinking more permanent. I have the ability to adapt to any environment I live in, especially warm climates, so I feel very comfortable in my decision in moving there. my first stop, Cebu, to get climatized to the weather, then possibly to other islands or cities. Not looking for love, but if it happens, it happens.

Great job again Pea…I enjoyed your chat with John. He seems pretty laid back and chill. He and I might see things a little differently when it comes to children. I am a couple years younger than him, so I agree about not wanting to father any more children. But I am totally open to dating a single mom, as long as it’s not 4 kids, from 4 different dads…My last Filipina had a 5 year old daughter who I just love. She brings so much energy and light into the day. I may not be with her anymore, but I still send her something for Christmas and her birthday…So for me, I’m good with a single Filipina, or a single Filipina mom… Salamat Pea

I think that having a child here can been wonderful for your relationship and a huge benefit for the child. In America, many children are being raised by there grandparents for a variety of reason. These children benefit from having a parent/s that are more prepared to and have more time/patience for meeting all the child's physical and emotional needs. As far as having energy; the Filipina mother will likely have a excess of engery. This is a personal decision based off your own situation. This should be left up to the couple without negative attitude from others.

Great video pea as per usual, good man in the interview. However I notice he said the women aren’t throwing themselves at him, and I think in some ways age does matter I am 24 years old my fiancé is 22, and I picked her up from university one day there waited maybe 5-10 minutes and 4-5 women were very openly flirting with me. I was just sitting on a motor there it got to the point where I had to be almost rude to get them to leave me alone one of them even called me “daddy” ( I used “boang”) it’s a completely different world there especially for a young foreigner. Personally I love my fiancé more than anything in the world. I would never be a player there in fact it’s almost a problem for me there I dread it I will get tampo just because a 3rd party try’s to flirt with me, but it’s definitely day and night for young vs old foreigner

Ha, ha - such a fun video ending... John is sort of a sneaky playboy, doesn't look like one but wouldn't be surprised if you do your next video from the beach you were talking about. As always, great job.
