He sold everything and moved to the Philippines - sight unseen! Without ever visiting here, Eric decided to make the Philippines his home, and left the comforts of the United States behind. Is he foolish? Is he reckless? Or did he do his homework, and create a plan to escape to paradise? Perhaps only time will tell, but one thing's for sure - he sold everything he owned and moved to the Philippines to follow his dream!

"Burnt out but not broken". I think that's an unfortunate side effect for a lot of men in the West. I know that I've reached a point in my life that I have no particular desire to get married again, and a lot of my divorced male friends feel the same way. I'm not opposed to it, but I'd be perfectly fine with just having someone to share my day to day life with. It took me a good 10 years to fully recover financially from my divorce, and mine wasn't nearly as expensive or traumatizing as some of my friends. I think here, in the US at least, the divorce process leaves a lot of men with a bad taste in their mouth. The idea of taking the risk to go through that again...is not appealing. (I'm not anti-marriage - it's just not the priority it was for me earlier in my life).

Many families in the UK upped and emigrated to New Zealand, Australia, Canada without ever having been abroad before! Pea: Awesome interview with Eric. Your comment at the end about "Green Acres" made me laugh because I was remembering the TV show and it was one of my favorites back in the day. With all the videos of yours and every other video I've seen on YT your comment about that RV show really hits the nail on the head. The Philippines may be awkward to Westerners when they first experience the culture, but at the same time it's fresh, cute and fun. Please don't get me wrong about that. Personally for me, I think the differences in culture would be an enjoyable change to what I have experiences my entire life here in North America. I think personally Eric is lacking in a lot of education about how to live in Philippines. 1. It is not difficult to adjust to learn to drive in Philippines. 2. It does not take 45 days to transfer money from your western bank. 3. It is less of a risk to look for cash flowing opportunities in Philippines / Asia than in your western country. I personally think most of this is bad advice that is far too conservative but, it's exactly what you'd expect from a newbie to the country.

This guy will be have the same results with women for the rest of his life until he changes. He’s not very open minded, seems to make excuse, feels like he might be exaggerating some things a bit too. With all his “experience” he still doesn’t understand women that he wants to attract because he’s presenting himself wrong. Chivalry of course is not dead.. Be the better man you know you should be to attract the right type of woman, not try reshaping into something worse just to be a fake shell of yourself. Don’t apologize for being a great guy either, but just don’t be a nice guy.. or a guy that doesn’t take accountability and learn from the things that aren’t working for him.

"$25,000 a year you can do it." Not really. You are going to need at least $25,000 in the bank that you don't need to spend. That would be for your emergency medical treatment. Hopefully you won't need to use it but, you will need that much. Yes, it does take awhile for a check to clear in the Philippines. If that is a problem then, you might not have enough wherewithal to make it in the Philippines. I think the big plus for this foreigner is he had already travelled to other countries prior to going to the Philippines. He realized that other countries were not like the US. Hence blending into the Philippines culture was not a big problem for him. On the other hand, if a foreigner has never left their home country, I would say selling everything and moving to the Philippines is a huge mistake. They need to make a few visits first. If they can't afford to do that, the Philippines is not for them.

He recommended that people do test stay in the Philippines to make sure it's for them. But then moved sight unseen himself. I'd say he he was right with his first idea. It's definitely quite a bit different, and I know many could miss the usa. Just depends on how willing people are to adapt to the heat, different foods, and culture.

I’m going to Greece and turky. I’m researching both countries especially the CDC are there a series of shots we need to take, what are the laws and so on. I’m being redundant. I still think it if foolish to pick up and sell everything and move with little research.
