We will see how we fare now that we have these injuries to deal with. Our defence is still intact which is a positive. But the defence relies on the solidity of the midfield in front of them. With a weakened midfield, we have problems. We cant press the same way with the remaining players like we can with Odegaard. We will have less ball and therefore the opposition will have more opportunities. Everything is now out of balance. We will struggle to beat Spurs and get a draw against City.

Lamine 13th July 2007 and Nwaneri 21st March 2007. Şaka made his debut at 17 so what’s the real problem. We have talented many other players. Timber , Calafiori etc

Fuck you're all so dramatic. Yes it's a huge loss but it's the third game of the season and everyones acting like we've already bottled it. Havertz can put a shift in midfield, Partey can put a shift in for us, Zinchenko can play there, Jorginho can put a shift in, Saka probably knows that position better than anyone other than Odegaard as he regularly interchanges with him there and they can play sterling in his position, not to mention the myriad of defenders that invert and can play in the midfield. There's so many options, even before Nwaneri and it's fucking Spurs; in fact a defensive double pivot of Partey and Jorginho with literally anyone else playing cam would make sense against an attacking side like spurs. Let's just see what happens, before freaking the fuck out about our team.

My one critique of Arteta is that since he used the youngsters like Saka, ESR and Martinelli to breathe life back into the team in his early coaching days he is hesitant to give young players a chance. Young players learn best amongst the veterans and they will work really hard to do what the coach wants. Give Nwaneri a start for 60 mins. I belive that Nwaneri and MLK will work wonders for rhe club plus they are relatively unknown in the EPL

Arsenal were very lucky over the past two season in terms of injuries compared to the rest of the top six. Yes, they did have players injured at times but Arsenal could consistently play very nearly the same starting lineup every week. Whereas the likes of Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester United at times seemed to have a new injury to deal with every week. Now let’s see how Arsenal are able to deal with injuries. How deep does their squad depth really go?

Arsenal had as many injuries to key players as Liverpool or United. Jesus's WC injury changed him forever, Partey was unavailable more often than not last season, Saliba and Tomiyasu getting injured in the same game was a massive blow the season before, Zinchenko was injured a lot a lot, there were also injuries to bench players like Nketiah and Vieira, not to mention Timber only played half a game before being sidelined for almost a whole season
