Had it several years now, and it's still as good as the day I got it. And since it was used it was only $11, of course it needed to be cleaned before I used it.

You know if aluminum costs between 10 and 15 bucks for a 1 foot round of 3" stock at the manufacturer, add on a couple bucks for overhead so say you have a 10 dollar amount of aluminum, 1 dollar overhead (producing this aluminum doesn't take long at all ;) ), and 4 dollars of profit to be generous, you have 15 bucks worth of material. Then you get this in the shop you work at. They have a VERY fast CNC machine. After a few minutes of setup, and locking things down into an already setup and preprogrammed machine, you can bang out these 4 pieces in minutes. Add that overhead and such costs and now that 15 dollar round stock costs maybe 20 bucks. All so it gets cut into 4 pieces at an automatic saw, and then CNC machined to be cleaned up and shaped. Then this company takes that 20 buck grinder and sells it with a mass of others and gets the discount down to say 16 dollars per grinder. Then the store gets ahold of it and puts their markup on it and you get say... 5 dollars, now that 10 dollars of material now costs 25 bucks, marked down for them to 16... god help you if they stored it in wearhousing on the store side... that costs so that gets added to the cost. However it's only 25 bucks for a 3" 4 piece grinder right with a final markup. Now everyone is making an ok profit margin so to speak per unit and you have stock of 3" 4 piece grinders right? Wrong, because the company that CNC'ed that, won't sell it for that little. Their company name means at least an additional $275 in name alone. That 25 buck grinder now costs 300 bucks. Now, say you didn't care about brand name, well keep selling 16 dollar grinders for 20-25 bucks and you'll be raking in the money... not as much as that high end brand, but amazon helps you sell it. So here's my question: Why is there such a vast difference if NAME OF BRAND is THE. ONLY. DIFFERENCE. PERIOD. Both get metal shavings usually, both have paint added somewhere for .01 cost... Just one sais Kozo and the other says Cookies x whoever.... Is it really worth the price for the exact same thing? Well people with more money than sense... will buy the higher priced ones because "higher cost means better quality"... yea right. Not always. And the ones who truely take pride in their work and want people to buy it will make a much more reasonable offer for something closer to 50 bucks or so... but do you see this in the cannabis accessory space? HA! NO!!
