Customers DO NOT dictate the price, never have I walked into these grey market boutiques and the scalper asked me how much I THOUGHT an item was??? Those guys dictate the inflated prices and whether the buyer is gullible to negotiate either by trade or paying their ridiculous offer thats how it goes. Market dictates price. If people stopped paying what they are paying now the prices would go down. Prices go up when people are willing to pay more than the last person did. Supply and demand are the only things that dictate price in a free market.

I think the daytona oysterflex is one of my favorites. I actually love rubber straps since I'm usually casual. I really like the meteorite dial too. I'd love to see it in person. I'm just a window shopper though 😅

Sick watch. I have recently given up trying to buy a Rolex (can’t afford grey market prices). Basically got laughed out of my local AD for daring to ask for a 36mm OP in yellow before the new 2022 watches came out. They are clearly not interested in making any new customers.

You’re basically paying 150k premium for the dial, when you get a meteorite dial Omega or JLC for much less, hence those dial aren’t that rare at all

Here in the UK, a good AD I use has been told they will receive 1 of each every 5 years on average. Still waiting for mine after putting an order in for full RG after attending a Rolex event in London. That should help but these things are going to be 2-5 years for #1 on the list.

My personal favourite still rose gold Daytona Meteorite. For sure, any Rolex is nearly impossible to get now, and meteorite dial is another level of difficulty to get. Even the watch dealer like Watch Eric takes about a year for it, the watch lover like me is not possible to get one….

I love Daytonas, but I just do not understand the whole rubber strap thing on premium watches. I guess I'm used to rubber = cheap, not something I would expect on a $200k+ watch. I loved it since the beginning, never saw it in the metal but it would be a great addition to my GMT Meteorite. When i asked my AD about it he just smiled and told me this pieces get delivered to them with the name of the owner on them. So its an allocation piece regardless of how much you spend at your dealer...

I own the all yellow gold on meteorite and this to me is the prize of my collection. Its a true subtle F you type of piece. Im a firm beliver that this could easily go higher than a rainbow as this piece is far more rare and also and maybe more importANLY can be worn by a much larger audience. An absolute stunner.
