Nice clean looking rifle. Dpms also makes a nice entry level rifle that cost about $650-$700, I bought my wife 1 a couple years ago and it performs flawlessly.

Dpms is great value…I Got a Dpms DR-15 from Atlantic firearms a few months ago w/ free float mlok 13.5 inch handguard. Magpul buttstock and magpul pistol grip. It even came with the magpul bus sights. Total was $724. I switched in a toolcraft nickel boron bcg, upgraded the factory buffer spring to a sprinco m4 carbine one . Dropped in a Cmc single stage 3.5 lb combat curved trigger. Griffin armament flash comp muzzle device and a magpul bad lever. This was my first AR as I have a collection of AK’s and I have to say it’s quite a rifle. I added canted flip up irons instead of the magpul bus because they take up too much space on top for my liking. Running a trijicon mro with a holosun hm3cx magnifier on a 13 slot one inch riser utg. I have to say Im very very happy with it.

I fully agree I bought the exact same rifle and added the forward hand guard that you did from Magpul. its a great ar15. coming from the Marines (1983-1989) carrying an M16a1 and the M16a2 i chose this AR15 for the same reasons you did, good call on your part you seem to know your AR's and what you want. Its a great rifle and has the 9/1 twist barrel so it can take the higher powder loads and is more accurate then the 8/1 or the old Vietnam era 7/1 twists. also has the heavy barrel so it wont warp as much if going all nuts out blowing off tons of ammo. Its well built and the quality is there as you would expect from Smith and Wesson.

I've had several stopages in my first 320 rounds. (failure to eject) I'm thinking that this rifle better accommodates the higher pressures of a 5.56 round vs. a .223. We'll see.

My M&P 15 does fine-- I just had to install trigger pins for slightly out of spec pin holes. But, a friend's leaves serious dents in the extracted cartridge cases because Smith over gasses them from the factory to help with ammo reliability. Trade his out with a little bit heavier buffer-- problem solved. Good rifles, but you really need to use and inspect them to ensure reliability

@@jmmartin7766 I never had any trouble out of my Smith & Wesson M&P I've had it since 2015. Who really needs the forward assist or the dust cover since the Mini-14 doesn't have either. I don't prefer the forward assist it's a excellent AR-15. After over 5,000 round it is functioning perfectly normal.

Dry cycle it about 100x to get the BCG and upper to break into each other. Also make sure your buffer spring and tube are very clean. Most new guns need to be broke in before they start cycling flawlessly.

I see I'm a couple months later here since you posted the video. but Walmart has some current better prices on xm193 than gander mountain... I got a 150 round box for $55 and now the federal American Eagle 223 of 20 rounds is goin for $6.44 give or take.. great video great rifle.

It'll do the job of an AR for sure. It's probably the best bang for your buck in the market but for good value I'd argue people should go to the IWI Zion, as well. Especially if they're not used to tweaking on parts. Good vid bro

Great choice. I got myself one also and plan on doing a two tone gray and black color scheme. Keeping it simple with just a better charging handle and bad lever. Pmag40s are one of the best buys right now for sure IMO. I don't think this rifle will make much difference with it free floated being 1/9 twist barrel so I would keep it as is. Do yourself a favor though bro and replace the battery in your smoke detector or I'm gonna stop watching your videos.. jk. lol.

well im glad your not planning on shooting anyone at 600 yards....lol... its a good entry level AR. I bought one in 2019. came with a cheap red dot and the hand guards were the old carbine style. Its a good solid platform. Far from perfect but if you look around you can get it for under $600 and thats a good gun for that money. Its a gun that will last as is .

It depends on where you go put the Springfield arms, saint victor be five is the best one under 1000 bucks! The fit and finish is superior the accessories are superior to the M&P 2. But then again, there are so many rifles hundred thousand dollars to produce nowadays. They have comparable packages and comparable quality so then again, it is up to the shooter and the buyer! because after all isn’t satisfaction job one, when it comes to customer relations!!!
