OMG! I resonate so much with this! ❤😢 Ive had this problems for so long. I was always Hurt through Sports or just walking down a hill. Im 40 today and I just this year heard about EDS. Dont know how to proceed from here. Is it good ti have the diagnosis?

Safety for me WOULD actually be starting from at least a sitting position. Having a loose LES + symptomatic hiatal hernia means being on my back or supine is SUPER uncomfortable at best and highly likely to cause a GI flare. That alone makes me tense. In addition, I live in a space small enough that I don't have room on the floor for lying down or stretching out. And my walls aren't suitable for moving against either. It's frustrating to say the least!

Yes definitely do what you need to feel safe. We are all different.

My mom paid for me to see a physical therapist who supposedly specializes in hypermobility. I don't have a lot of the obvious markers for hypermobility but I do struggle with a lot of other issues. For example my neck, sacrum, pelvis, and hips are always going out. I also have rib subluxations and my thumb pops in and out of place. This physical therapist told me that because I can't bend and reach my toes/floor or my limbs don't bend backward, that I'm not necessarily hypermobile. Thing is every issued that you mentioned in the beginning of this video talking about fear of future pain, sensitivity to the idea of future pain, Etc all ring true with my symptoms and many of your videos do too. How can I find a reliable physical therapist near me who actually understands that there can be different severities of hypermobility?
