10:13 Actually, thank you Jordan. This really makes me rethink how I approach being creative and making stuff. As you mentioned, you can tweak until infinity and let the perfectionist hang out, but giving yourself a time limit and posting it, no matter the quality is better than overthinking it for a week... or 2... and then 3 months go by.

Hearing you guys talk about buying text books for that amount is insane. I done my masters in the UK and I didn't buy any textbooks. At one point I went to the office and just asked the author for a copy of his network config book because he had them spare.

Fun fact I learned about the different versions of books. A lot of the time the text books rotate their problem so if it's on version 10, version 8 is more likely to have the same problems vs version 9. Found that out with math textbooks

Bottle flip: you have a bottom-weighted bottle for the initial flip BECAUSE centrifugal force would keep the bottom stable. At the exact frame that the bottle hits the table, it changes to being powered by physics objects inside the bottle. I would probably use about 100 spheres and see if they match how water should react to that scenario. If it works, you would then bake the rest of the bottle's animation to keyframes AND THEN you would add the fluid. If it doesn't match, then you would go back through and refine the steps to make things feel more intact. But remember than the water only affects the bottle when it's in it's densest form. So only the majority of the water pushes the bottle around on the table after the flip.
@l_..l.l.__l..l8833 Жыл бұрын
Wdym densest form if you can't compress water?
@BrendanHenry Жыл бұрын
@@l_..l.l.__l..l8833 can't compress it, but it can be dispersed. So think of the centrifugal force acting upon it as a concentration of the water in the bottle and a buildup of kinetic energy, and as soon as the bottle hits the table, the kinetic energy is released into the bottle, shifting it around. But once the kinetic energy is gone, the water is no longer an active part of the simulation. The presence of kinetic energy in the water can be represented as density: despite not being compressible, the water's volume is playing host to the kinetic energy as well while the bottle is spinning.

Water bottle FLIP sounds like a neat sim idea indeed. I'd do the water first, because it's more mass, and it has everything to do with the bottle landing the right way. Might try it for fun. Love the show.
