Glad to hear no shirt Dave has no regrets on his rig. I’m not big on regular 9-5 people buying stupid expensive vehicles, but it makes sense when it’s something you use for hauling work tools

After remodeling my 1960 house I totally get it. People don't believe me when I say I could've built two new houses in the time it took to remodel this place. So much more work involved with remodeling old shit.
@ConservativeVet8415 күн бұрын
My house was built in 1967. Not one room is square…found that out when putting in new baseboard and crown moulding. Not enough outlets, substandard wiring that needed to be replaced, leaking gas lines we never smelled, not one bedroom door were the same dimensions…7 doors, 7 different sizes, venting and ducting not up to code. I could go on. For what I paid to remodel and doing most of the work myself, like you I could have built a new house, if I could have bought a lot in town. In the winter we live in town. The rest of the year we stay at our ranch.

Spent the last 3 months in and out of scissor and boom lifts, from a 19' scissor to a 135' boom lift and the boom lift is wild... It folds up kinda like the one you have, but can main boom straight up like 80' then boom out 55' cost 9000 a month to rent!!! 😱

Genunine question, would have been fast to just destroy the place and start from scratch no? Any reason why they didn't do that? Guessing maybe because of the nearby buildings.

Construction is a crazy business , I was wondering who that guy painted on that wall must have been a local character around the area or local hero in town. Dad was in the Trades he had a love hate relationship with his profession he eventually settled into being a Finish carpenter I think what he hated most is Fixing other co-workers Rookie mistakes, he loved his ADHD buddies never a dull moment lol

Something I've been wondering for a while is how much money this job has been costing given the time (I know it's not your guys fault, just permits, build codes, etc) but still you gotta think you've had a whole crew working this whole time, materials, permits, equipment...I don't know how anyone can afford anything and be profitable out west there. You guys need to make a profit on top of all those expenses and then the restaurant has to make a profit after paying yall for the work. It blows my mind lol

Articulating booms are the worst. They just feel unnatural like they can just dump you out of the bucket anytime. The bounce every move you make doesn’t help either. You could’ve hit that whole wall and just left the base outside on that slab tho. I know it’s sketchy. OSHA usually makes us wear a fall arrest system. Not like that’s gonna help if the dang thing tips over!
