Andy is a fucking genius. his knowledge of skate history, trick credits, original names for tricks, and just bringing back old school grabs and freestyle. the dude is my inspiration to get better right now and even my toddler son loves to watch his clips. speaking of, the fact that Andy still wears his helmet even as a pro sets a good example for the kiddos imo that its okay to stay safe while skating, and you can still go pro.

if you look at old venice skate footage or played THPS2, that spot "VENICE PAVILION" got buried in sand by the city because apparently there was too much criminal activity, that spot had walls built around it so all the city had to do was knock down the walls and push sand into the area

There are enough examples of TBI, even while skating street or just cruising. It’s not about the 1,000 slams you take when nothing happens, but the one slam that leads to a TBI and what can come with it (wheelchair, bed, etc.). It can even happen to the best. The same thing happens in snowboarding - watch 'The Crash Reel,' a documentary about Kevin Pearce. Why is it so hard to choose between making your skating safer and being able to enjoy it (way longer) and risking a severe injury? But that’s just my two cents on that - in the end, it’s everybody’s decision. Love your brain.
