The Longines Zulu Time is absolutely an amazing watch. Every aspect of this watch, shows an entire company effort that has pride in what they build. All the way to the BOX you open. The experience of ownership is simply “the best”.

As I watch this video. Longine annouced their new smaller 39mm Spirit Zulu Time. Yes, it is a dream come true. 39mm diameter, 47mm lug-to-lug, 13.5mm thick.

I bought it simply because it is magnificent!!. This is the very first GMT in the history of watchmaking and was absolutely to be had in a collection!!

Longines build quality and finishing is outanding. On par and if not better then Tudor in most cases and id go as far saying that Longines feels better in the hand than most Omega's.

It’s such a beautiful watch. I just wish it was 40mm. I feel it would look better on 7” wrist. The normal Spirit just doesn’t have the allure of the Zulu time. I’ll need to try them both on to fully decide.

Almost a perfect GMT for me, if it only had indices instead of arabic numerals. Personally I do not like arabic numerals on any watch. It makes the watch look a bit more busy than what I like. Just my personal preference. Otherwise this is a perfect watch.

Great Video, I bought my Longines Spirit Zulu Time GMT Blue on black on Dec 16 2022 and it is amazing in all aspects. Mine is perfect for my wrist and I actually can't fault it. It looks so elegant & classy and the box is absolutely amazing!!!

To each his own, my wrist size is an average 6.5in and no I do not think it’s too big of a watch. It’s the lug length that most people complain about.

This is honestly one of my dream watches, i love this watch, It is relatively "affordable" if you compare other high end watches, but it's too big for me. :( 42 mm is pushing it for me but I could probably pull it of but the 50+ mm lug to lug is the deal breaker. I really hope they make a smaller version, maybe like a 38.5-39mm with a 45-47mm lug to lug!!!

There is a limit to how far a watch can be just too big for a wrist and I completely understand your conundrum. A smaller Longines Zulu time would really be a crowd pleaser and may just be the best GMT watch under $5000 in my opinion. Have a happy new year 🎉

Thanks for great video with such a wonderful timepiece. I have 7.2" wrist and I wouldn't choose 42/50+ lug to lug GMT no matter how much I like it's look. I just wouldn't be able to be satisfied. I wear 41.6/50 Tudor Black Bay Chrono Panda where the larger size can be justified for chronograph and it is maximum size for me.

I can understand your view on it being the right size of watch for the right purpose, I would like to add that the Longines is around 13.8mm which is very much an advantage for a larger watch and was my biggest consideration next to the design for why I was just OK with the 42mm wide case. I think as long as we can justify it and love the watch that’s all that matters. Happy New Year to you 🎉

I wanted the Rolex Pepsi but the wait time is too long. I decided to go with the Zulu. As mentioned in the video, Tudor needs to have its own identity. I’m very happy with the Longines Zulu time. I still want the Pepsi but definitely not a Tudor.

It’s a very nice watch and for some it can be a dream watch but I say never settle on your watch goal is a great way to save money and the satisfaction of getting what you hoped is really worth it

@@perpetuality I put some thoughts into getting the Zulu. The Zulu will be my real travel watch. I personally don’t feel comfortable wearing a Pepsi into places I’m not familiar with. Unwanted attention is never a good idea. I will have two GMT watches when I get my hand in the Pepsi. Hehehehe.

I think this watch is great. Your strap choices are fantastic, especially the green canvas/rubber, it looks spectacular. The proportions on the case and dial are also really well designed and considered. I’ve tried this on a few times willing it to look right but it’s just a shade too big. Plus I agree with your point about the movement the Tudor’s is better. If this came in a 39 it would be a watch id seriously consider spending money on. Happy for you the size isn’t an issue enjoy it!

You hit the nail on the head with the watch being very well proportioned for its size! For reference it took me three trips to the AD and a lot of convincing that regarding the size of the watch on my 6.5in wrist. Which is why I’m completely in agreement with your hesitation to get one. But I couldn’t get it out of my mind..and here we are now. Thank you for watching and have a great New Year!

@@silvestrocrino3256 essentially any movement that comes out of the Rolex stable is likely to be accurate, robust and very reliable. It’s brand bias but based on anecdotal evidence. On paper the Longines movement is just as good

A great video. I enjoyed hearing your Longines story. Have you considered putting an Artem sailcloth strap on your Zulu-Time? It would, IMO, add to the versatility of your watch without decreasing the luxury look.

Bought this zulu time in september last year. Such a great piece! It gets to much hate for its size imo. But then again this is the case for "every" watch when its 42 mm. Just look at all the cry babies because Rolex releasing a 40 mm explorer.
