At the time of this movie, Marilyn was plumpish for the entire film wearing clothes to camouflage he weight. Why the beach coat in the beachy scene? That the dress she wore on the yacht and her little fur were designed specifically to hide her pregnancy. If she had gotten pregnant during filming she would not have had time to gain so much weight. The next time you watch notice the design of her clothes. I don't question that she had an affair with Tony; but, don't think this story is accurate.

Exactly on the set of Some Like It Hot he actively disliked her because of all the drama, her perpetual lateness and failure to even arrive on set made him very angry because it was unprofessional behaviour. Marilyn was clearly already pregnant during the making of the film. Then there is the documented facts the neither Marilyn or Tony got along during filming. Tony became increasingly annoyed and hostile towards her for her lateness to the set. Marilyn in turn become more difficult and hostile towards him. In her last interview she speaks of the kissing her being like kissing Hitler comment and refers to Tony Curtis as "some actor." Marilyn very rarely went for young handsome men. Tony Curtis spoke negatively about Marilyn for the first few decades after her death. It wasn't until his later years that he suddenly switched everything up saying he loved Marilyn and talking about their supposed involvement. It was because MM's status as a legend and icon continued to grow rather than fading that Curtis then wanted to be associated with her for the attention it brought him.

Tony Curtis was a narcissist. He was in some good movies but his acting skills were not good. He was not able to pull off the characters personality he played.

Solstice Life, Marilyn couldn't stand him either. She had nothing good to say about him in her last interview referring to him as "some actor." Marilyn wouldn't have given him the time of day. He wasn't her type. It was true he didn't like Marilyn and it wasn't until later in his life that he made up all the rubbish about loving her and them being involved. He was still bashing her in back the 1970's. Later when he saw that Marilyn had become more famous and much more on an icon than him, he used her name for attention.

Hi Age of Vintage, how are you going? I do have an idea the baby was Tony Curtis's all Marilyn wanted to do was settle down & have children. Throughout her life she had two Miscarriages & an ectoplc pregnancy. She wanted to have Arthur Miller's baby, but that never came to fruition. There was also a strong rumour when she played alongside Yves Montand in Let's Make Love in 1960 he was totally enamoured with Marilyn & they had an onset affair which led to her becoming pregnant. She had a miscarriage & lost that baby. So it could have been, one to Tony Curtis, one to Yves Montand, & the last miscarriage could have been with her husband Arthur Miller. She said in a statement to the press all I want is to have lot's of babies with my husband Arthur. She had 3 Marriages in her short life the first her high school sweetheart James Dougherty was in 1942, she was only 16 at the time. They divorced in 1946. She then married Yankee star Joe DiMaggio in 1954 they dated for 2 years before they got married. Marilyn announced her divorce from DiMaggio on October 6th 1954 just 274 days after their Wedding. In 1956 Marilyn married Playwright Arthur Miller on June 29th 1956. They divorced in 1961. Arthur was her longest lasting marriage of 5 years. She still maintained a friendship with Joe, & after she passed away it was Joe who organised Marilyn's funeral .He also had red roses delivered to her grave 3 times a week for 20 years. With Tony Curtis, he was another co star who was totally smitten by Marilyn & when he said to her in the filming of "Some Like It Hot" one day you & I should get married. I believe it was just an off the cuff remark, as he was still married to Janet Leigh & she'd just had their second child. Marilyn had a sexless marriage with Arthur Miller. Her publicist Rupert Allan is quoted as having told me this in an interview with him for my 1987 biography `The Marilyn Scandal`. Allan said, `The lucky guy was married to her and all he can do is stay in his room..writing`. Could be Miller was homosexual and the marriage was one of `convenience`. She benefited from his cachet as a Pulitzer prize winning playwright and he used her to gret him off the hook with HUAC. This seemed to become transparent when they were in London where she was filming `The Prince and the Showgirl`. Miller`s play was premiered at the `Comedy Theatre Club` where it was presented without a licence. The Comedy Theatre was a well known gay theatre club. If she had an affair with Curtis, so what? He was not the only one. Sad she had to succumb to one night stands because of a loveless marriage.
