TBH my main problem with Toy Story 3 was that it underplayed Buzz’s friendship with Woody so much that Buzz didn’t seem like Woody’s friend at all in that movie; he literally never takes Woody’s side during any of his arguments with the rest of Andy’s toys. When Woody wants to leave Sunnyside, he doesn’t even try to stop him; the only one who does is Bullseye. When Buzz reaches out to Woody at the incinerator at the end, it’s a moment that completely relies on having watched the first two Toy Story films, because in TS3 Woody if anything seems closer to Slinky than Buzz. For all the flaws of TS4, at least Buzz has gone back to being Woody’s best friend and he is actually there for him; he hasn’t forgotten the whole point of the first two films. But yeah, the whole “Inner voice” thing is bullshit and not even particularly funny.

On the surface ToyStory4 was inoffensive, fun, and gorgeous to look at. But when you start digging a bit deeper at the characters, the themes, and the story it all kinda gets muddled and messy. My biggest problems with the movie were the complete regression of Buzz and Woody's character developments, the idea that the lost Toy life was so great without ever actually showing why it is great (in fact most of the lost toys actually seem sad and unfulfilled because they don't have a personal kid to love), and the complete disregard for the themes (of friendship, unconditional love, and coming to terms with mortality) built up in the previous three films.
@thunderbird19215 жыл бұрын
It wasn't just Buzz and Woody. Other than maybe 1-2 scenes they totally weakened Jessie too. She's a pushover to Bo and maybe others as well. Did they totally forget what she did for the others in TS3 and ESPECIALLY Toy Story of Terror? She became a fully fledged hero in that special (along with Buzz and Woody). Now we expect she'll just let Bo haul Woody off? After she traveled in a box to save him (her biggest fear)? She loves Woody like he's her big brother. TSOT makes TS4 look ridiculous.

What I like about the film is it tried to do a more original story. 3 was kinda a rehash in parts. But that's about it. I didn't like Sporky, or how the supporting cast had very little to do. Buzz was reduced to a recurring joke. Woody abandoning his kid the instant he's not played with seemed to go against his character. But ultimately, the plot about Forky just wasn't engaging and I found the whole thing kinda boring. Also it makes the ending of Toy Story 3 worse. Andys sacrifice of giving up his childhood toy (possibly passed down from his dad) is wasted on Bonnie.

Can writers stop thinking that "Well written Strong female character = Active tough badass". When people say they want a well written woman, they're not saying they want all women to be fighters or sword wielders, they just want them to be interesting and have a good personality and sometimes that can come from a timid and feminine character! There's nothing wrong with femininity, hell theres not even anything weak about it either. A woman doesn't have to be written as "one of the guys", but as a character.

Agreed. The bigger problem, however, is that the contradiction is totally unearned. Contradictions are allowed - hell, real life is full of them. But in life - and in GOOD storytelling - we usually get to SEE how they come about. They don't just happen without setup. As the video points out, the movie thematically contradicts itself - something the first three TSs just didn't do. TS 4 was severely underwritten or lazily written or both.
@jerelminter5 жыл бұрын
How is it a contradiction ? Woody being the leader running the room isn't going to work anymore because he belongs to Bonnie who isn't the same character as Andy was. So her not playing with Woody makes sense because not every kid plays with their toys the same way. Even Sid Phillips didn't do that, he broke his toys, blew them up with dynamites and even decapitated and dismembered them.

Absolutely agree. As a film, its fine. As a TOY STORY film, it's awful. The biggest thing for me was the team behind it. This movie was originally just about Woody and Buzz looking for Bo, but when Rashida Jones left, they spliced her script with another. On top of that, we have new directors for the first time in the series. I could feel it while I was watching. Toy Story has cutaway gags now? It's funny, but it just feels off. @@Buttington_Headerson Buzz might not be as smart as most toys, but he's not an incompetent fool. In Toy Story 1, he correctly deduced it was safer to ride in the passenger seat than in the trunk. Toy Story freaking 2, Buzz not only deciphers Al's license plate (when no one else could), but organizes a successful mission to get Woody back. It was his idea to use the traffic cones to safely cross the street, his idea to jump at the same time to trigger the automatic doors, and his idea to reveal the fake Buzz by opening his helmet. He also used the cameras to blind the prospector, plus talked some sense into Woody. This movie presents Buzz as incapable of making decisions, and being a successful leader: Two things the previous movies established as a big part in his character.

He and his friends spent years without getting played with, and he insisted that they stay. "It's not about getting played with. It's about being there for Andy. He must care about us, or we wouldn't be here." Why should he not apply those same standards to being Bonnie's toy?

@PoppCulture945 жыл бұрын
@@amemelia Except he has been in this situation before. When Andy got Buzz in the first movie, the only times Woody was played with was when he was used as Buzz's punching bag. He even began to doubt his value anymore, as he says to Buzz, "You should go back to Andy without me. I'm the one who should be strapped to that rocket." But Buzz insisted that Andy needed them both. And thus Woody learns that his purpose as a child's toy matters even when he's not the favorite. And anyway, if he was never Bonnie's toy, what was the point of the ending of Toy Story 3? The beginning of the fourth drew attention to her name written on his boot. When the other toys chose to stay at the daycare center, Woody tried to tell them it was wrong by pointing out the name written on theirs. By the end of 4, the name written on his boot doesn't mean a thing to him. He just leaves to do what he wants, exactly what he rebuked his friends for doing in 3. And yet somehow we're supposed to be okay with this now??? No way.

My biggest issue with Bo Peep is that, she had been gone for about 7 - 10 years, which is plenty of time for her personality to have changed with her new life experiences and nay tragedies she may have gone through. And Woody barely even knows her anymore upon re-meeting. But through out the story we would've seen the two work together or whatever and watch Woody fall in love with her all over again now that she is so different. But nah, we get the opening scene where Pixar tries to convince us she's always been like this.

hora de todos os legos If the first Toy Story was asking “What if toys were alive?", Toy Story 2 "What happens to toys when we grow up?" and Toy Story 3 the same but in a more concrete manner, then Toy Story 4 is stepping away to get to the core. It's asking, plainly, "What is a toy anyway?" That's in the discussion from the opening sequence where Woody is torn between his own interests and duty to Andy, and pushed to the fore by Forky's creation via affection. Up until this movie, it was simple. Per Buzz recounting what he learned from Woody in Toy Story 2, "life's only worth living if you're bein' loved by a kid." But what does that say about life when a child grows up, or when you're left in the closet in favor of others? How can idealism really hold up to the real world? What Toy Story 4 finds is a less direct form of love. It's not just about a singular, personal relationship but the grand web of life one can find themselves in.

This movie really could've been so profound if they retouched Bo's character and how's she changed and created more of a conflict between her and Woody. He could've been trying to convince her to come back and live with him and everyone else now that he's finally been reunited with her, only for her to insist that she's happy with the life she has now, making it clear to Woody that she's a very different person than the one he knew 9 years ago. Seeing a fully realized arc for these two characters really would've improved the core of the film. Also, Buzz's storyline should've been changed to something more fitting for him, and I also would've liked to see Jessie be involved with whatever that would be as well. Giving Jessie the proper focus she deserves would help make her reuniting with Bo towards the end have more meaning.
@jerelminter5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I rewatched Toy Story 4 again earlier today and noticed that Woody did question if Bo will ever go back to being in a kids room again and she said no, then Bo mentions that her new life as a lost toy would be a great role for Woody and he said no and that he was happy belonging to a kid. So they did have some variation of that exchange in the movie like you said but I agree that they didn't capitalize on it enough, had that been Bo's character in Toy Story 4 that would've been more effective than the one we got in the movie. Buzz and Jessie didn't do much so I agree with that, it sucks that they're not given more screen time in TS4 because they've had more interactions with Woody than Bo has.

Bo Peep was literally a decoration from the base of a lamp that Andy’s sister had in her nursery when she was a baby in the first movie. She’s like a precious moments figurine, but on a lamp for babies. That’s why she doesn’t really participate in a lot of the events of the first 3 movies, if she disappeared for a long time, like everyone else, she would be more easily noticed. Also she’s ceramic, so she can’t really jump and run like the other toys because she’ll break. If you want to get technical she’s more of an appliance then a toy, but, to be fair, the movies have always been kinda weird about how Andy interacted with her.

*Toy Story 4* is a lot like *Incredibles 2* not because they’re solidly put together (not especially as sequels), but more because they are the worst Pixar movies since the ones that came between *Toy Story 3* and *Monsters’ University* that make the 2010s a decade for Pixar that, while mostly (but not completely) good, is nowhere near phenomenal as it was the 2000s because... • They are WAY too technically proficient, especially *TS4* (although, if I could pick between the two which has worse animation, I’d have to go with *Toy Story 4* not only because they gave a character, which in this case, is an antique shop owner’s cat, a completely realistic design, but also because of what they did to Bo Peep, not just her design, but also her character, is a joke... Oh shit...) • While it’s great to make women and everyone else tough, the way they made Elastigirl/Helen Parr and Bo Peep “strong female characters” isn’t REALLY badass, but more like pushing a misandristic agenda down our throats that Disney considers “MUH FEMINISM”. • The continuity they have with their predecessors is barely existent. • The actors did try their hardest with the materials they were given, but because of how disappointing these films are with their “We’re not our predecessors, we’re just for kids, so we don’t have to try” attitude, the actors only gave out the best they could with the laughable scripts they were given, so of course the acting is far from some of the best in the universe, especially Huck Milner as Dash Parr and Annie Potts as Bo Peep(, Worse than Ever). • Although I do have to admit, if there’s something good that came out of these movies, (only) some of its characters like Bunny & Ducky, Frozone, Edna Mode and Duke Caboom are at least memorable for decent reasons.

Vanelope was actually pretty selfish in the film but that's my opinion. I preferred the third one. The fourth smelled like Disney pressured them to write it at the zombie-like insistence of Bo Peep fans. Also, the lost toy shtick flies right in the face of the other films. Like, what's Woody gonna do now? What if he finds a home? What about all the people who aren't kids and love toys? Hell, even the animation seems plastic-y, where the other three films seemed story-wise and animation-wise natural as a reflection and evolution of the nature of what a toy would be like if it were to come alive. Plus, Woody's motivations were never *this* obviously hammered into your brain, they were subtly woven around the story. Hell, the ending's even worse considering the New Bo's shrill putdowns of Woody--he'll be stuck with *that* forever as opposed to just waiting for Bonnie to realistically cycle back into liking him, as kids do. Toy Story 4 flimsily glues its marketing gimmick together by having Woody turn into an Uncanny Valley pullstring doll with one new phrase, *"WE GOTTA GET FORKY BACK TO BONNIE!"*

You didn't touch another pink elephant in the movie: the voice box of Woody, given to Gaddy Gaddy via her manipulation of his emotions, she finally gets what she wants at the end but at what cost? RIGHT! I know she likes 5 years old or something, but still, Bonnie was despicable in Toy Story 4. Toy Story 3 showed she was just as capable as looking after the toys as Andy and showed a genuine love for them. Now I get she can't play with Woody every minute, but it like she goes out of her way to exclude Woody in particular, the one toy Andy stressed she should take the most pride in looking after. Like, for example, in Toy Story 1, Andy cared more for Buzz at the time, but when Woody went missing he noticed. I feel Bonnie would never realise Woody gone. WHAT IF ANDY COMES BACK AND SEE YOU LOST HIS FAVORITE TOY! ITS OBSCENE!

Bonnie was completely out of character in TS4. Previously she was a sweet, shy girl that took care of her toys. TS4 turned Bonnie into an unbearable brat that cries over a suicidal spork and whose only interaction with Woody was removing his Sheriff star to give it to Jessie just because.

You perfectly explained my issues with Bo Peep's character development. I always liked her character, in fact, I found her a bit relatable in how demure she was- and I really did miss her in Toy Story 3. But seeing her again in Toy Story 4, the first thing I thought of when I saw her in action was, "This is to please hardcore feminists is it?" Everywhere I go, women characters now have to be just as strong as men to prove that they are not dependent on anybody and yeah, I get the message and it is nice to have, but with Bo Peep it felt forced. I agree that if they at least kept her former personality in the flashback and then changed it, it could've been understandable, but don't pretend she was always that inventive and assertive.

I think it is rude to say, as a film maker, all female characters have to be strong/be like a man, that is as bad as every female character has to be a demsil in distress. Why not have Jessy as the strong "boyish girl and Bo Peep as the" girly" girl? Bo Peep could be strong in her own way, not by action/physics but in mind. To have a strong mindset, to be caring even when it is maybe tough (for example caring and understanding the shop puppet). That would be also a strong female character but different from Jessy.

I was looking forward to reuniting with Bo Peep so much when I heard there was a Toy Story 4 being made, because I had really missed her and been worried about her when learning that she had been separated from the gang for years in Toy Story 3. She was such a sweet, caring character and it devastated me to think of her being taken away from Woody forever. Then I saw Toy Story 4 and... it wasn't my Bo. In place of a sweet gentle shepherdess there was now some cynical jaded stranger with the world's biggest chip on her shoulder. Instead of her presence being comforting and happy like it was in my childhood, now being around her on screen made me feel tense and on edge, like she could say something mean and cutting at any moment. And the way she interacted with Woody, it left me with the sense of bewildered hurt and confusion of bumping into a long-lost friend you've not seen in years only to find that they're no longer the person you knew and loved at all. And then the biggest thing that broke my heart in two - Woody and Buzz and the gang going their separate ways forever, after all they've been through. What about being in this together to infinity and beyond? Didn't all of them together have more meaning than that? Were they really just going to part with a "cheerio!" like work colleagues? And what about the whole message of Toy Story 2, that going and having shiny new adventures is nothing compared to being loved by a kid, fleeting as it is? When I left Toy Story 3, I was in tears from a beautiful and poignant ending. As I sat there at the end of Toy Story 4, I was in tears of disappointment and, strangely, grief. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it felt like something I knew and loved was dead.

The thing about Woody's character arc in this movie, that is that he realises there is more to life than being played with and takes on the role as a helper of toys, is that the arc works in this movie, but not in this franchise. The whole trilogy has been about a toy staying loyal to their owner, no matter what, and then letting another kid also have the same possibility in the end. Toy Story 2 is like a reverse-Toy Story 4. Woody is neglected and shelved by his kid, but in the end, realises he must stay loyal to Andy cause that what a toy has to do. This sees Woody unlearn that. Super contradicting, very much an inconsistency.

The emotionally satisfying and beautiful ending to Toy Story 3 "perfectly" capped Pixar's trilogy, according to Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley. However, the folks at Pixar knew they had one more story to tell when it came to Woody. At a Pixar screening event, Cooley joined producers Jonas Rivera and Mark Neilsen to explain why it was so important to revisit the world of Woody, Buzz, and the rest of Andy's toys. “We love the end of Toy Story 3," Cooley. "It ends Woody and Andy's story perfectly. We realized there is more story to tell to continue Woody's story. And once we started going down the path… we hit upon something that was worth telling." Under the Andy regime, Woody was always the head organizer and leader of the other toys. He was Andy’s favorite, the chosen one who got to go on trips to Pizza Planet and develop the closest bond with the boy of the house. But at Bonnie’s place, things are different. Dolly, the purple-haired rag doll who’s got seniority on Woody in this new workplace of sorts, assumes the authority-figure role among the toys. In Toy Story 4, Woody struggles in his new life with Bonnie. He has her name on his boot, but not her heart. When Bonnie wants to play, she often leaves Woody behind on the floor of her closet. She even takes Woody’s sheriff badge and pins it on Jessie instead. It becomes clear that Bonnie doesn’t have much use for Woody anymore. Woody can't help comparing his new owner to his previous kid, and soon realizes that Bonnie doesn't seem to need him the way Andy did. Bonnie never had a true relationship with Woody. 1. Woody, a cowboy, is designed more for males than females. 2. Bonnie’s a child in the 21st century, and Woody is a doll made in the ‘50s. That was revealed in Toy Story 2 as the Woody’s Roundup show was in black and white. Bonnie was just changing her tastes and having her attention diverted somewhere else. She’s not a bad person for that. Even so, Woody is determined to do his part. So when it’s time for kindergarten orientation, he sneaks into Bonnie’s backpack, insistent that he must go with her because she’ll need a friend in this unfamiliar environment, even though Bonnie has made it clear that if she needed a friend, she probably wouldn’t choose Woody. All the other toys beg him not to go. He does it anyway. I realize this is a Disney-Pixar movie. But watching Woody’s insistence on inserting himself into a situation where he’s no longer needed made me think: it’s representing a real-life phenomenon in which older men refuse to step aside so that a new generation can step up, take charge, and prove that they are capable of running the show as well as capitalizing on opportunities and benefits that older men have enjoyed for decades. It also marks a shift in the point of view of the Toy Story movies. Bonnie trying to survive by herself can be struggling by adapting to slightly more advanced environments. Everyone has that certain something they need to help them through tough times. All your toys are trash. If they’re not in the garbage yet, they will be soon. Yes, even your most precious early aughts era McFarlane Toys Jason X Movie Maniac figure. I’m impressed that you’ve kept a hold of it for this long, but sooner or later you’re going to turn your back, and your mom, dad, brother, sister, wife, husband, father-time, peer-pressure, whatever will chuck it in the dustbin. Society tells us that we have to grow up, and even the Toy Story trilogy finished with the ultimate joy-killer of adulthood ruining Andy’s imagination by steering his plastic friends into the arms of the still-willfully creative child Bonnie. She’ll love them for now, but she’ll grow out of it, too. Kids lose interest in their toys someday. It’s totally normal. Jessie’s heartbreaking “When She Loved Me” in Toy Story 2 is proof. If the first Toy Story was asking “What if toys were alive?", Toy Story 2 "What happens to toys when we grow up?" and Toy Story 3 the same but in a more concrete manner, then Toy Story 4 is stepping away to get to the core. And, of course, while Toy Story is ostensibly asking questions about the nature of toys in fictional confines, it's really going much deeper than that. The entire series is dealing with heady questions of human existence - of being replaced, of being broken, of loss - and since Toy Story 2 and Jessie's heartbreaking "When She Loved Me", it's been more directly addressing the constant fear and awareness of the inevitable end (how morbid you want to take that is up to you)

It's funny how the franchise started with inanimate, empty eyed plastic dolls going through genuinely human and multifaceted character arcs, to the point where you stop thinking of them as mere toys, and ends with a movie that feels distinctly plastic in all respects, stripping all characters down to their basic marketable qualities, and looks so realistic the characters all have an uncanny valley affect to them, somehow ending up as the least visually and thematically satisfying movie of all of them.
@eatatjoes67515 жыл бұрын
It's dramatic irony that breaks Pixar's own rules of storytelling. Like the heavy emphasis on family and friendship present throughout 1-3, only for 4 to have Bonnie throw Woody out and get obsessed over Forky, and Woody ending up leaving the gang for Bo Peep despite Buzz rescuing him for Andy in the second. Not to mention all three of them, on a meta level, would be exactly what a toy would go through if it were granted sentience: 1. Toy gets envious of new toy owner gets, wants to get rid of it but ends up being friends with it later on. 2. Toy realizes it isn't a single toy, part of a lineup of discontinued toys, has to decide whether to stay with those toys or stay with owner's. Chooses third option. 3. Toy realizes owner grows up, can't play with it forever, goes to daycare, the daycare is Toy Hell, gets found by little kid and so the toy wants to stay with it and bring along buddies. The fourth one is so much of a weird marketing stunt to make *TOY STORY CHARACTER UNBOXING/MERCH EGG OPENING* videos on KZbin so the franchise can stay relevant in the public consciousness that it hurts. Like, I'm entirely convinced that's why they made another movie. Nothing can die anymore, so they have to pump out another Toy Story with the flimsy justification of answering where the fuck Bo Peep went in 20 years.

@@Anthonycheesman33 Gabby gabby was a complete waste of a character. The way she is written is cheap and her only real purpose in the story is to extend its length. If she had been written with any kind of consistency then either the beginning would make no sense or the ending would make no sense; take your pick. That's because her actions and motivations as a character come second to the plot. Because she has basically no character, she's just a plot contrivance, an obstacle to make the movie last longer and tries to justify her screen time by begging for audience sympathy through the lens of her abandonment issues. It's basically the same villain, again, for the third time in a row and it's getting old. By the end of the movie, it's almost impossible to imagine why people are so frightened of her. She never really does anything all that bad and what she does do as an antagonist seem completely at odds with her personality by the time they get around to establishing her as a character. Once the movie's blatant manipulation subsides, what you're left with is a story stuck, spinning its wheels for 40 minutes. The Prospector in Toy Story 2 is everything Gabby is, only with much better writing.

@@iceetheskater6052 Toy Story of Terror was so beautiful and hilarious that I actually enjoy it over TS3 (and it's MILES above TS4). In addition to Jessie's beautiful display of family love to Woody (I'm 90% sure they're siblings), they took the comedy to a whole new level (although the hand signals joke was kind of lame). I could easily have watched that for another hour or two. I would have loved to have seen Woody's reaction when he realized Jessie willingly got INTO A BOX to save him! That must have been the most emotional hug they ever had. Toy Story that Time Forgot wasn't too shabby either.

The Toy Story trilogy is my favorite trilogy ever and it sucks that this cash-grab ruined the franchises' reputation as a whole. All the complaints you brought up were mine own as well but they bothered me more and some complaints I had that you didn't mention: The setting was mostly just at the carnival and it got kind of stale and boring to see the same set for a good chunk of the film The farewell scene felt rushed and should've better longer for what they were going for The film brings up what a toy actually is which is interesting but quickly discards it and forgets about it Why does Bonnie stop playing with Woody and ONLY Woody It's unrealistic for Woody to conventionally find Bo Peep at this one carnival and see her at this one specific time Woody has been unplayed with for only a few months, meanwhile he continued to get Andy's attention for years after he grew up Bonnie actually brings Woody along on the road trip with er, so that shows that she still somewhat cares for him The old cast of characters is a big middle finger to the fans since they all do absolutely nothing except sit in an RV for the entire time The new characters are at best whatever, honestly couldn't stand Bunny and Ducky for most of the film Randy Newman has one new song and its just decent but forgettable, plus they reuse a bunch of music from the old films Forky jumping into a trash can gets old after the fourth time and is just infuriating when he does it the 20th or so time This movie was just bad, not even a passable or good film, and its really bad for Pixar standards 4/10

*The farewell scene felt rushed and should've better longer for what they were going for* I wished it was longer too, non-less, it hurt deeply. *Why does Bonnie stop playing with Woody and ONLY Woody* She is a girl, she prefers girl toys, therefore her preference for Jessy, the gang were animals and as for Buzz he has wings, light and buttons, even Andy lost interest in Woody compared to Buzz *It's unrealistic for Woody to conventionally to...* I mean, it was also unrealistic for a toy collector to find THE toy he was looking for at the exact time Woody was out, you won't question that? *Woody has been unplayed with for only a few months, meanwhile he continued to get Andy's attention for years* *after he grew up* He was unplayed for about a week I think? I remember the other toys making fun of how that was the third time that week, I did not get the second part *Bonnie actually brings Woody along on the road trip with er, so that shows that she still somewhat cares for him* Woody just was not played for a few days so... *The old cast of characters is a big middle finger to the fans since they all do absolutely nothing* Agree, it would be better if the movie was advertised as a Woody's movie *Forky jumping into a trash can gets old after the fourth time and is just infuriating when he does it the 20th..* Agree, they could have handle that better

Cloverfr I think that the original characters hogged the spotlight for long enough in the first three films. If you’re gonna make a new movie, you should introduce new characters. Woody, Buzz, Rex, Hamm, Bullseye and Slinky aren’t the only ones with stories. And also: BONNIE IS NOT ANDY. People have many different tastes in things.

@@ForrestFox626 Bonnie thought Woody was a new toy, she didn't know he belonged to Andy and he had already been played with before. This is why she got upset when Andy hesitated to give Woody to her because she thought that was her toy. So of course he was going to get all the attention at first but now that Bonnie has all of Andy's other toys, Woody isn't going to get as much playtime like he used to.

Toy Story 4 was unneeded but not necessarily bad. Besides money, I think their goal was to introduce a new generation of kids to the Toy Story franchise. That’s why they sidelined characters who kids couldn’t relate to like Jesse, Rex, etc. They did tarnish Woody’s character by making him leave Bonnie because he isn’t played with. I also think it didn’t feel like a Toy Story 4 with the cutaway gags and all the weird stuff. It also kind of cut off Woodys character development at the end of 3 when he’s over Andy and let’s him go. But in 4, Woody references Andy a numerous amount of times which was kind of weird. It wasn’t necessarily bad, it just wasn’t needed.

Also, Woody wasn't downgraded. His arc was about trying to find a purpose, after he realizes that Bonnie doesn't treat him the same as Andy. Also, Toy Story 4's message wasn't "forget your owners, they don't matter". Woody wanted Bonnie to matter, but he had to find a different place in the world, because he knew that Bonnie wouldn't be able to fill the hole that Andy life. You could literally simply anything. Me: "Syndrome is a spoiled kid who kills people because he has hero issues". See? If you think Toy Story 4 is about "women power men stupid", then you're just looking for a way to complain about non-existence agenda in a movie. Grow up. As for the take on the Incredibles 1, that movie had Mr. Incredible going behind his wife's back, which got him in trouble. The sequel has them coming to a *mutual agreement* about Elasticgirl going on missions. And don't forget that there was a quarrel about crime fighting and going back into being a superhero right after they fought the Underminer. There was even that intense dinner scene, *and* that scene where Mr. Incredible and Elastic talk about how they're afraid of going back into fighting, because they want to think about kids first. So there was definitely some quarreling going on. I'm sorry, but did you even watch the movie?
