It has been one of the most profound and beautiful experiences I've ever had: being a trainer, not only holding myself accountable to guide others, but also growing alongside them. The feeling of being called to serve someone, helping them reach their potential, and at the same time having the opportunity to learn from them, is a deeply rewarding experience in itself

I absolutely cherish these videos you all make, I am a young trainer and have learned so much more from this channel than any other resource I have available. I approach all clients, not just the new ones, towards becoming better mentally and pushing more for a healthier lifestyle.

I love your points on communication. Know your audience. Using big words that your audience doesn't understand does not make you sound smart... it is bad communication.

This episode is awesome for clients too. Gave me a mental checklist for evaluating a trainer 😊 - luckily my current coach checks off all of the boxes!

I had to get serious about my health and started with fasting. I stumbled across mind pump and it made me change the way I was approaching my journey. I’m hoping I can win one of these programs so I can make sure I’m doing these things right.

Just a tip. You should do your own research as well. Fasting is used for disciplining your mind but not to lose weight. Also avoid, looking at the scale every week or at schedule. Maybe once a month. Learn about natural food n portions size. Consume food with high protein, fiber , n nutrients. Don’t follow any diet trend. Most importantly , enjoy the process, make it healthy lifestyle, n don’t overwhelm yourself. Its okay to have a bad day but do your best to bounce back the next day. Always listen to your body n get to know your body

@@marcrose3403 I appreciate the encouragement. I have been doing my own research for over 10 years. This time around it has been easier to stick to my healthier lifestyle by upping my protein. I also have found it easier to transition into a healthier lifestyle through fasting to reset my gut. What Mind Pump ihad done for me is giving me tools that can help sustain a healthier lifestyle and build a better metabolism.

@@marcrose3403 these guys are great at speaking to needs without overwhelming people with all the number crunching out of the gate. I’m down 41 pounds and 6 inches because I’ve been following their nutritional advice and been strength training with programs I have had in the past. Diet has always been my downfall. They have made this way more achievable and sustainable

Teaching as a career also has a really high turnover (at least in Az !).

I workout at a big box gym and I have noticed that all the trainers are very young (early 20s) and most are college students. They use personal training as a stepping stone but it isn’t their end career goal. This probably skews the statistics towards high turnover.

Another great episode. I've had experience of this as a client. I've been doing sport since I was 9, I'm now 57. They don't ask about your background, they just want to tell you everything they think you need to know......much of which I already know. I recently got a new trainer as I was plateauing and needed some inspiration. He didn't even come round the gym with me, but did it all online. Consequently he's not even attending the gym now, but doing it all online. People need the personal touch and their background needs to be taken into consideration. I thought he was one of the best trainers too. Groan!

I understand the value to the client of keeping it simple (say lift your arm out to the side instead of saying vertically abduct your humerus). But if a good trainer indeed guides their client on a journey of education, then don't you have to start getting at least a little technical somewhere along the line or else risk a trainer/client relationship of I say, you do?

Help, I do circuit training 3 times a week. I chose circuit cuz it's convenient. I walk 20k-25k steps a day. I'm ovo vegan. I do eat cheese, it's the only Dairy I eat. I began Jan 14.. I went from 150-148... I lost 1/2" around my waist & I see muscle. I try to get as much protein as possible, but fail to get 135g a day. My caloric intake is anywhere from 1500-2100 a day. When it's low, I just find I'm not really that hungry & am satisfied having an Apple with 20g cheese. But I've been binging MINDPUMP & think I'm way too low in my Caloric intake. Is that correct? I should be eating lots of Legumes, I think, to raise my protein & caloric intake. What do you think?

Y'all make me wanna get into it. I have wanted to for many many years yet I'm in a sales job already and have been doing that for almost 11 years, yet if I got your course I do think I would be very successful, although I don't know much about the market when it comes to monthly and annual income. Just never been sure if it would be worth it although there's a good chance I would be great at it and would enjoy it highly
