Hi!, very cool video. I didnt't find too many review videos about this geared head and I find it very usefull to consider buying this. Thanks for that. I have some questions about the maximum weight capacity of this head. The MKII version specifications says that can upload up to 12Kg. I usually shot with a Linhof Master Technika and with a Pentax 67 medium format camera. I currently have a Manfrotto 229 3D Super Pro that can upload up to 12Kg too and I didn't find any issue during using my large or medium format cameras with it. Do you know if it would handle well this type of equipment? I am looking for a precise and fluid tripod head. I love de gear head systems and my dream is to have an Arca-Swiss C1 Cube, but it cost a lot... Maybe some day, in the future. But I found the Rogeti's gear head can maybe do the job quite good and precise. So, maybe you can tell me more about the load capacity of this head and If you think that will handle with zero problems a 4x5 large format camera kit, like a Linhof Technika. Looks like a great head. I also like your walk through of its features. My question is: Is the main clamp an Arca Swiss clamp? If so, why attach another one on top? I understand the pan head clamp but not the plain clamp.

This gives you a 360 deg pan if you don’t need it you can just take it off

It certainly has a lot of bells and whistles for precision work. Quality doesn’t come cheap. Would love to see the same quality in a simpler, less expensive design for less demanding landscape shooting. Thanks for the info.

No I haven’t used them but I love this thing.

I have a Manfrotto MA410, which is also a geared tripod head. While by itself it is quite a bit cheaper than the RG1, it does not come with all those accessories and it has one of Manfrotto's special camera plates (which I don't like). Also, the MA410 is a lot bulkier and almost twice as heavy, which makes transporting it a bit more difficult. So by comparison, the RG1 looks like a really good product and worth its price.

It’s nothing like this Camilla this is not a video head it’s a gear head totally different for different purposes

It is expensive but you get what you pay for. If you have the need for this it’s about as good as it gets.
