An RT is going for decent prices. The thing about srt and hellcats they cost more for insurance and cost way more for maintenance. Front breaks can cost a few grand. You get an RT and it's cheaper all around and you still have a hemi and you get better fuel mileage. The 5.7 actually is rated 1 mpg more on the hwy than an S10 with a V6. Great daily driver that won't break the bank.

The higher the trim level, the less likely I would buy it used. I wouldn't consider a used Hellcat or Scat Pack unless I knew the previous owner. The R/T is slightly less likely to have been abused, but it would still have to be one owner and low mileage. A V6 is probably a safe buy.

lucy x I live here in Phoenix as well look around at dodge dealerships, I bought my first 2016 charger v6 at Tempe dodge and got charged a lot but in 2019 I got a Dodge Charger Scatpack from Bill Luke and it was an amazing deal. A good advice is always look at the total price because they’ll try to tell you monthly payments but it will be for a longer term which may make your monthly “cheaper” but really they just adding a year or two on your loan.
@Papicodone3 жыл бұрын
As far as deciding if new or used I think it would depend on the cars worth if it used. Maybe try to Kelly blue book the mileage and year and car and compare to what they are offering. Also, I wouldn’t get a dodge with high miles. I always went new but now that I’ve owned new I wish I would have got used to save some money. It just comes down to pros and cons.

Since U said ur in Canada. Do the challenger's / chargers scat pack edition go really good in the snow & winter roads ( winter time) is there a good set of tires that can be used in the winter 4 this car so U don't wreck or get into a major accidents. That would be a good video to make how to drive safely in the winter with these cars. what is the preformace program should we use in the winter time. Sport, traction mode ????
@bill3924 жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter if you have the SXT or GT with AWD or the RWD V8s, what you have to do is buy yourself a full set of dedicated winter tires and mount them on powder-coated alloy rims. You can go cheap with steelies but you'll regret it because they rust like crazy and look like crap. The powder-coated alloy rims will last the life of the car and stay great looking. Then just swap the wheels in your driveway every spring and fall. These cars are awful on winter roads without proper rubber. I have a '19 RT Scat Pack 392 Widebody and the first time I was on snow with the factory all-season tires, the car was almost uncontrollable above 30 km/h. After I installed the winter wheels, I had absolutely no problem at all. Like any vehicle, drive according to the road conditions. I keep mine in Eco mode on winter roads for maximum stability. All that HP does nothing for you anyway, regardless of the drive mode, because cold slick icy or snowy roads are what they are. My car is a greatly daily driver regardless of the season but I have to admit, summer is a lot more fun.

@@gregshanor669 The widebody trims all come with Perelli 305/35ZR20 on all fours. 12 inches of rubber is too wide for winter in my opinion so I installed 275s. No spacers or anything are needed. For anyone reading these comments, I'm talking about my car which is a widebody trim. I'm pretty sure Greg Shanor is talking Scat Pack, but not the widebody. The rims and 275 tires that I quoted will fit the widebody for sure, I know because that's what's on mine for winter. For the narrow/standard body, you'll have to check with the supplier. Also, for winter, if you can stick to 245s, I think that you should do that. The 275s give you more traction than 245s in summer for sure, but narrower is better for winter.

All of this has already started but it's ramping up now. We are sitting at 1.5 degrees above pre industrial levels the temp is climbing at around 3 to 4 degrees above pre industrial we will have a extinction event, that is our extinction event plus most life on the planet. At that stage what will be worth anything. So before you vote your next govt in what ever country your in. Ask your self what really matters protecting the status quo or the future.

@@danilastepanenkov9756 they're made to break. I bought a 2013 used at 30000km in 2014. Garage parked and doesn't see snow. Within the first two years I had to replace the waterpump, starter, alternator, radiator and spark plugs despite it being driven like a yacht instead of a manic dragster. I never even let the RPMs go over 3000. Meticulously maintained by a bodyshop that handles mainly exotics. Rusting from the inside out due to condensation from the foam insulation behind the rear quarter panels. They claim it's to dampen the noise but it's pretty obvious it's a scam tactic in order to get owners to buy replacement body parts. Strange how my Ford Fusion SEL from 2010 has no rust and is driven in Toronto winter conditions but my summer car is approaching a near full restoration because of Chrysler's purposeful sabotage. Realistically the people who own these *must* have money to burn to maintain the car and the manufacturer knows it's customer demographic; nobody really complains and just fixes it because they love the car's looks. Had I known about the foam and the defective OEM parts I would've torn it down from the beginning just to replace with aftermarket stuff and get rid of all that nasty foam behind the body work. I've owned plenty of vehicles in my life and NONE of them have started to rust like this machine. Thank God I got a 6 speed tremac otherwise I would've most likely ran into lifter issues due to the faulty MDS system that comes with the automatic transmissions. Hell, I even know hellcat owners with the same nonsense going on... it's truly a rust bucket. Barely 150000km now. Just replaced intake valve seals as oil was starting to leak. Thought it was a head gasket failure... heck even the head gasket OEM is designed to turn to mush. Good thing it's fixable. I presume I'll run into that in 50000km... if I decide to keep it that long.
