I think victreebel is just one of those underrated gen 1 pokemon. It's a real powerhouse but when you think gen 1 powerhouses, you don't usually think victreebel. And this video really showcases just why victreebel is so dang dangerous in the sun!

Victreebel is a good example of how a pokemon can be severely undermined due to awkard stat distribution, having one of the worst possible (the kinda frail mixed attacker with awkward speed tier), making it absolutely sun dependent. Everything else about this mon is good.

I drafted victreebel back when I did draft league stuff in gen 6. My opponents always said it was a nightmare to prep for in case I brought it. It can be physical or special and that alone makes it crazy good.

I used to watch Xenon’s wifi battles a lot. This was gen 4. So like… 13 years ago now. He always had uncommon strats that I fell in love with. I remember watching a battle between you 2 and your Pokémon names were hilarious so I ended clicking your channel and I subscribed. I'd argue that maybe another paralyze or 2 on the right mons would've helped versus hazard. Speed played against you unfortunately but it was difficult match up as well. Very challenging for sure, so I hope next week plays out more in your favor. Good game! Keep it up

A move concept i came up right now while watching your video (indont know if that move exists or if someone, in a social media somewhere already had it): a weak move, like 10 power, poison type, that procs aditional poison damage. Like if the pokemon is poisoned, after the pokemon takes damage from the move, it takes damage from being poisoned, meaning that, per turn, it takes 2 procs of poison damage (3 in double battles), one after taking the move and one in the end of the turn. But wait, there is more. If the pokemon is badly poison tgis move raises the badly poison counter. So, end of t1 1/16th b-poison damage, t2 attack it takes 1/8th and in the end of t2 it takes 1/4th (are this the normal numbers of badly poisoned? If not, use those instead of these). Oh and maybe give it 10% chance of normal poison tge opponent and 5% of badly poison

Neat and all, but this is just a discount scovillain, with the minus of having to use weather ball and tera fire for the stab instead of flamethrower and a defensive tera. With less special attack, less speed and only slightly better bulk
