VRChat Models costing money makes even more sense than people realize. Just buying a base means you have a canvas that you can do whatever you want, whenever you want, and however many times you want. litterally unlimited models if you know what you're doing just from 1 base thats $30

It's bummer It debit to pay for this crap

Me as someone who is dogshit at blender and unity but still has treid to rig some stuff I can confidently say: Whoever does actual VR chat avatars are highly skilled individuals and the workload is atrociously much. The price seems high but once you actually do it and get a feel what everyone has to do you quickly realize: The price is still below what the work is worth in most cases

Yep. There are some folks with legitimate financial problems and it could be for a variety of reasons (some adults for a variety of reasons, minors who cannot work at least not easily with school) so the sympathy sits well for them, but then some can be just....advantageous freeloaders. Leeches.

I knew they took alot of work but didn’t realise it was that much. Surprised they don’t cost more.
@arvurebantra76393 ай бұрын
A fully custom one can cost as much as a fursuit, if it's only for you and not something mass sold as a base. $40-50 for a base is that price because they're expecting to sell multiple.

I never question why art costs so much anymore. Especially in this economy…

Weight painting? Do you mean like the amount of data the shader uses?
@Hirozu3 ай бұрын
@@mateotellez3639 weight painting is when you assign parts of the skin to a bone in order to make the model move. Because of how complex humanoid bone structure to muscles are it takes me longer than the sculpting of the model itself

On the other hand, in ones case, people say they can do something but can't, so you have to learn that shit on your own. When one is technology illiterate, have fun with that crap. Rant over
