Why Wally Matters

I just finished reading the book Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet. My gosh, what an absolutely amazing book. Its about an angel and a demon who work together to stop armageddon. The book is hilarious. If you're looking for an entertaining read, I highly recommend it. The audiobook narrated by Martin Jarvis is also excellent. I'm not sure what the best melon is, watermelon or honeydew? I feel like watermelon is way more consistent but a good honeydew is really good. Cantaloupe is also a fine melon, but it's definitely not one of my top melons. But I think Pineapple probably beats them all as my favorite fruit. However there's also that whole downside of Pineapple destroying your gums but whatever. How do you guys feel about the Flash TV show right now? I loved season 1 (it's one of my favorite seasons of television of all time), but man the writers just get too comfortable it feels like. Also, DC needs to stop screwing over Wally West.

@@porobotboyxxx He could probably hold out better than Barry though. He is a master of judo and he can break pickaxe in half without superspeed. Not to mention he was Kid Flash for 9 years, and many more as Flash. He has much more experience.

Barry is not a boring character. The problem is that DC writers wrote Barry to act like Wally. They should have written Barry more like a detective. Like Batman but a bit more easy going and more likeable. That said, I do agree that Barry should not have come back. There was no need to bring him back and take the spotlight away from Wally. However I respect people who Like him because I respect opinions.

Ever since the good reception of Wally as the Flash of the Justice League cartoon and the Unlimited follow up, the next DC cartoons that came after started that whole thing of giving Barry the same personality of Wally, which later Geoff Johns took that to the New 52 Barry and nowadays other writers switch different personalities. In his solo Flash comic, Barry's a cool experienced mentor, and then on a JL comic he's kinda dumb to the point of not knowing how to write, in one speech thought he said something like "I wish I was a writer like Clark" or something... or being smart as a chemist and detective doesn't equal knowing how to write something (a letter, etc)?

At least we still have young justice Wally. I firmly believe that he will return in season 4 just so that the creators can fix the HIC storyline like they fixed Rise Of Arsenal and also Wally gets the rebirth suit and I want to see him hit the I.M.F. I know it is wishful thinking but still.

@2000 Man Reborn lol actually funny thing about those choices that kinda actually happened already well sort of mostly only for a few of the characters you mentioned like kyle rayner becoming the only green lantern after hal jordan went freaking nuts and got infected by parallax and destroying the entire green lantern corp which happened in the 90's as for robin that technically happened well sort of after jason todd died tim drake became the third robin and in my personal opinion like wally west was who was my favorite flash TIm drake is my all time favorite robin at least in my opinion. as for the trinity and the titans honestly i have no examples about those but i understand where your getting at. :)

Paging Mark Waid. Paging Mark Waid. We need you to come back. Geoff Johns did a beautiful thing with rebirth but the sad truth is..it wasn't just Dan that picked Wally West to be a murderer. Geoff signed off on this as well. They both prefer Barry and that biased ends up evolving to shitting all over Wally's character but also his history - which tons and tons of fans prefer over Barry, and grew up reading. We need a real hero to save the true Flash. We need Mark Waid.

Nah. Geoff quit being CCO after Rebirth to write DC movies. It was pure Lee and Didio. Johns simply doesnt have creative control anymore. Hell, after Metal DC spiraled from the good will Rebirth set only to return to New 52 direction, after John resigned as CCO.

Reasons why Wally is better than Barry (and also the best Flash) 1. He became a hero because he wanted to, not because he was involved in a tragic event 2. It's the fastest Flash (DC confirmed this and there are facts in the comics that prove this) 3. It has powers that other Flashes do not have (infinite mass punch, can create solid objects, can give and take speed to others / from others) 4. He has a better evolution: he was Kid Flash, he founded Teen Titans together with Dick Grayson, he became Flash and also a member of Justice League, being a colleague with Superman whom he idolized as a child (Probably he and Dick Grayson are the only characters whom we could see all of his life) 5. He has a better personality: he's funny, charismatic, intelligent and soulful (in an episode of the Justice League Animated Series, Justice League travels into a parallel universe where they became evil because Lex Luthor killed Flash- Wally West, and Flash was called "The Heart of Justice League") 6. Justice League / Justice League Unlimited (One of the best DC animated series, and in my opinion, Wally is the best character in this show

While I love and ultimately prefer Barry Allen, Wally has grown on me over the years. If Barry and Wally both had their own solo title, I'd read them both religiously Update: I've read more Wally comics since then, and he's taken the top spot as my favorite Flash! Glad he's taken over the Flash title again and is having a really fun run! My statement still stands though that I love them both😂👌🏻

Wally west will always be my favorite flash. Instead of bringing Barry back they should have made Bart the main flash after Wally and gave him the storylines that New 52 and Rebirth has been giving Barry. Jay Garrick the OG flash. Barry Allen discovers the Speedforce. Wally West know the spiritual aspect of the Speedforce and make Bart Allen know the science side of the Speedforce. But that’s just my opinion.

Somanithel Kheang Fun Fact, Flashpoint was just supposed to be a self-contain story and that everything was going to go back to normal after that story arc, but DC decided in post-production that it would be a better idea to start off the reboot after Flashpoint so that it would be a better way to actually reboot the universe
