i loved web of shadows. i was like 8/9 when i played it religiously. the story line is nuts with how many villains you gotta deal with throughout and all the cut scenes were hella cool too

I'll give Spider-Man's VA some credit, he at least seemed to be trying, unlike a certain movie actor who was phoning in his lines. It was a casting issue more than anything.

This is still one of my personal Spider-Man games I have played on the PS3. The web swinging and combat are just so good, that's it's impossible not to replay it. Unfortunately I recently tried to boot up the game on my PS3 console and the disc unfortunately ended up dying on me. And it's due to disc being dirty, since I bought a used copy of the game years ago.

In my opinion it’s the best Spider-Man game ever by a landslide. It’s a perfected version of Spider-Man 2 from activision. I also dare say it’s the most satisfying game ever made. Combat and swinging are unmatched.

You say that WoS spider man swinging feels like it has no weight because of the speed of traversal...but canonically spider man is that fast. He can traverse the whole of Manhattan in full speed in 3 minutes. That's hella fast.

web of shadows is my second favorite spiderman game.. nay, my third favorite superhero game, its just so fun and the gameplay has so much depth to it that its just great my first favorite superhero game is Ultimate spiderman which is followed by arkham city btw

I really enjoyed this fun fast-paced web-swinging Spider-man game on the ps3, after when I had finished collected all of the spider-emblems at level 11. @JacksGameReviews, how much better would you rate Spiderman Web of Shadows compared to Spiderman 3? I have the PS3 version. It suffers from some screen tearing during cutscenes and some lag when swinging. But I still love it. 7.8 out of 10.

Ah yes. The “choices” part of the game were pretty much neutered in the DS version. It was unfortunate, but I still think it was a great game in spite of that. (It was more of a “metroidvania” on the DS, but it pulled it off great. Seriously go play it.)

The game feels rushed but, it had some great ideas. There wasn't much they could do in a year and a half. Aside from the gameplay, I loved the idea of teaming up with Luke Cage and Wolverine. I'll take that over Miles Morales any day of the week.

Damn u did really bad research and missed a lot of major details in this game for example 1)if u collect 1000 spiders after that all other tokens will showup on the map and u need collect another 1k to get 11 level on that level u can have absolutely no limit speed on blacksuit but it's hard to reach it because of obstacles on super speed and distance reguires to accelerate 2)[SPOILER] if u complete all black widow side missions she will get access to summonable airstrike 3)Every ally had a special move after summoning just press lock and press down(summon button) 4)[SPOILER] if u will be bad during whole gameplay and choose catwoman over mj after fighting her symbiote version u can actually summon her half symbiote version to fight with you and a lot of other gameplay combat/swing details

Played this game on an emulator on pc not the best experience performance and story wise (combat and web swinging Carries astronomically) and I hated doing the stupid mandatory side quests between main missions

Tbh I disliked the lack of variety in combat, the web swinging is janky, the world is empty, it's story is trash. I horribly dislike it and y'all just blind with nostalgia. I've seen better looking shitty mobile games. Insomniac's combat had fluidity, it's suit powers, gadgets, 20-ish combos and mods made the game unique. This barely has anything outside of combo skills. I could find more variety in Minecraft's combat. WoS isn't that good, it just ain't.

I had a similar response when I first played back in March. But I've come to love it. In 2008, it was considered the best Spidey game along with Spider-Man 2. The extensive combat system, the fluid web-swinging, the story and the four endings make it a cult classic.
