I am from a low-income country in Africa, and I must let you know that racism is everywhere. You are very likely to be treated fairly in Arab Middle Eastern countries ONLY because of your husband's race and your passport. So, this tells you that racism honestly is everywhere in many forms. You just have to be smart about it.

That is so true, you can run all your life. If it's not religion, it's skin color. If you think in a Muslim state is no racism, you must be kidding. I have seen with my own eyes, how domestics are treated, if you think, it's perfectly alright to treat people badly, because they come from other country to work for the rich Muslim, than you are not better as the ones you point the finger on

You will find that there is racism in every country in the world. As you live in other countries you will find the real feelings of people when you are not a tourist. People always hide behind the computer when they want to make negative comments about other people and not necessarily about racism.

But if they move to an arabic country, they'll be in the majority religion and race, and white people don't face as much racism. Sure black people will experience racism, but they won't experience that so they'll be like 'wow so inclusive no racism at all'. Obviously if you're in the majority religion which is literally enforced in the laws you're probably not going to feel discrimination lmao.

I definitely resonate with this as a New Zealander, because our country is almost seen as a 'little Canada' in the sense of being somewhere full of really nice, friendly people and where 'bad' things just don't happen. So much of how NZ is reported on internationally is a highlight reel of all the good moments; you hear very little about the bad. People from overseas are generally shocked to hear that yes, racism is a problem, xenophobia is a problem, etc. (I'm from Christchurch - I know this better than anyone).

I understand your concerns about racism, which is indeed a global issue, including in Canada. However, it's important to recognize Canada's ongoing efforts towards inclusivity and multiculturalism. While no country is perfect, many communities here are actively working to combat racism and foster a welcoming environment for all. Leaving might seem like a solution, but engaging and contributing to positive change can be even more powerful.

Just a thought…your current unhappiness would change when you move but as time went by you could become dissatisfied in your new life as well. There are no perfect places. Malaysia has strong ties with China. Check it out and freedoms available that could change over time. Your concerns about genocide are understandable. However, beware that wherever you go, you will face issues of one sort of another.?

As a Malaysian, I can assure you that having strong ties with China don't have anything negative implication or anything. It is good for us economically and for our safety in this region. The danger we would face is likely coming from you, The West. Historically, China never colonizes us, but it was Europeans who conquered us and messed up the whole region.

I’m guessing Malaysia is your top choice for your new home. Malaysia has a racism problem too. There are several articles online addressing this issue. Sadly, racism is endemic in most countries today. On top of that, as foreigners in a new land, you may experience xenophobia as well . So while you won’t face religious discrimination in a Muslim majority country, you likely won’t be immune to other forms of discrimination and prejudice.

It's heartbreaking that your family is getting so much hate. Unfortunately, there is hate anywhere you go. I live in a mixed home. My mom is white, my stepdad is Japanese, I'm half black, and my brother is half Italian. We were taught that we all bleed red, we all laugh the same language, and cry the same language. I'm firm believer in judge not yest ye shall be judged. Why can't people mind their own business, and get themselves right before sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. It's important to approach discussions about racism with empathy and understanding. However, it seems that this couple may have other motives behind their claims. While it's valid to express concerns about racism, it's also crucial to consider the broader context and motivations. Let's encourage open dialogue and constructive solutions rather than spreading negativity or making unsubstantiated claims for personal gain.

Mixed marriages with children, whether by race or religion (conversion) or both, have faced challenges since their inception. Add putting yourself out there in the public eye and drawing attention to yourself- however altruistic your intention may be- certainly puts some of the onus on you. Your attempts to normalize Islam in a predominately Christian country is another challenge. Perhaps you will find safety in a predominately Muslim country?

"Whites" aren't the problem, ignorance is. "Whites" embraced the printing press, non-whites rejected it and this has resulted in many non-whites naming their ignorance on "Whites". One can understand some people may be upset by your criticism of Canada and some Canadians. You seem like a very pleasant, polite couple and you must know that there are people from all faiths/cultures who think of their way as better than others. Recent immigrants are not the only ones who can feel uncomfortable where they live because of the attitude of their neighbours. Could it get to the stage where countries are assigned to exclusively particular religions/non-believers etc. Sounds far fetched but all of us need to accommodate each other to live in harmony. Regards from Blighty :).

Keep up the good info and good luck in your move...As far as racism in Canada I can't say but sadly I see racism, hate, and social ills in other countries. Perhaps home schooling your children is a better solution--at least you have a little more control over their environment for a little longer.

Sending peace and love, those comments are so disgusting and I am truly sorry people think it is okay to say anything along that hate speech. I've been hearing about the hate crimes that have been occuring in Canada against the indigenous people but I did not know about the hate crimes towards the muslim population and racially motivated hate crimes, in the US most foreign news is so filtered out even on social media that we remain majorily ignorate to the troubles that occur else where. Safe travels and I am excited for this next chapter in your families lives. All the best wishes towards a bright and wonderful future

There is a contradiction to be addressed. You must know about the TRV program > January 9 ,2024 . Out of the 1.7 million in Canada roughly 45 K have family members - ranging from 10 to 60 - in Gaza .As a rough estimation take just 10 per application and the number is staggering = 450 000 . Whatever the real number of those who make it out will be - they'll need housing / jobs / health care / schools ect. + assistance of all kind for years to come. So .....Canada has an obligation to save them > offering a chance to live in a country you don't feel at home = eager to leave. Guess those lucky ones who will touch down at Pearson won't mind the difficulties you faced .

Your lack of insight is apparent. What about the tens of thousands of students who are fast tracked to Canada only to realize they cannot afford to be here? Suicide rate for them is astronomical. You think the government cares? They fast track immigration for the votes that come with every PR status. Canada has no obligation to save the people of Gaza, they are slaves to the Zionist agenda like the rest of the western puppet governments. You’ve also ignored the out of pocket cost that people must pay just to escape Gaza, upwards of $10,000 per person. You’ve also ignored the huge amount of Ukrainian refugees brought to Canada not due to an ongoing genocide, but a war between two armies, when many other countries give them the option to go to. The people of Gaza have no such options. The whole system is broken. You’ve also left out the fact that it isn’t the government paying all of those expenses, it’s the families. Look deeper, start with comparing Ukrainian vs Gazan refugees and what they get and the process involved. Then you might see some of the white supremacy undertones your current, less obviously white power government holds.

And until the country change it for the better with all the "good heart and intention" better you live with your family where you feel more comfortable. Yes, there are problems everywhere but with the support of your community it is easier to go through. For more happier days.

I think they're well aware that problems (in the case, racism) exists everywhere. I'm a born and bred Malaysian, and I'll tell you we have a fair share of our own problems too. Racism as well. There're Malaysians who find our politics intolerable and chose to migrate elsewhere, while others who hang out overseas for a few years but choose to come back. It comes back to our level of tolerance and comfort when choosing a place to settle down, and it differs from people to people.

Ever since the pandemic I’ve been thinking a lot about moving to Malaysia as things here are no longer like what it used to be. The far-right are coming out of their closet. Never experienced racism personally but you do see/hear it on the news. You no longer feel safe here in Vancouver at night and I guess the government are just in denial about the mess they created. All the best and good luck with your move. Inshallah I hope I’ll run into you guys in Malaysia sometime in the future.

Much of Canada's demise during the past 20 years stems from quietly transitioning from a democracy (government of the people) to a corporatocracy (government controlled by large corporations), the latter not influenced by the average citizen or even the majority.

I'm sorry I have already written a reply to this video but since then I have been thinking and I would like to put something to you both to get your take on things. A little while ago a lovely Muslim lady that I used to work with replied to a post on her facebook, the post interested me as it was children related sports and sadly the Muslim people who had written the post were not what I expected if I may explain. In England UK we promote inclusion meaning regardless of race, colour or religion we all do things together, such as football or martial arts but and this is the part that really grieves me, the Muslim community didn’t want to be part of the sport club that had been set up by a group of white people, the Muslim group were talking about setting up their own club meaning encouraging all Muslim kids to join and whites can join too but why when there is a perfectly good club already in existence catering for all? Why is it that Muslim adults think like this oppose to getting their children to interact with white children surely that’s got to be the way forward? In your case running away from reality to a Muslim country is exactly the same, you don’t want to be inclusive on the contrary you Muslims so it seems want to be exclusive and just deal with your own kind. I find this very sad as your children will grow up thinking this is what life should be like when no it shouldn’t as I said before it should be inclusive so white kids have Muslim friends and Muslim kids have white friends, I really think you are missing a golden opportunity to teach your children and others be it white or brown, mixing together this I believe would eradicate wars but being exclusive as you Muslims are only brings hatred, non-Muslim people will be thinking that the Muslims think they are better than us therefore not joining in with the community but actually alienating themselves. This is the start of bad things such as racism etc and that’s exactly what’s going on in the middle east fighting between Christians and Muslims all because the Muslims would rather reject the hand of friendship and walk alone. As I said in my other post I am a white Christian from UK and I would love to see the Muslim community interact with the other religions around the world why you feel you need to be separate is beyond me please bring your children up to love people regardless of colour, religion or culture stop running away to a Muslim country, just a thought in my country we have many many Muslims reside here now in a Muslim country there are very few white Christians living among the Muslims I wonder why? Racism comes to mind where the Muslims don’t take to white people unlike the white people who embrace the brown people around the world.

I believe that „racism“ is everywhere and in every country of the world. Thanks for your channel, I appreciate the education regarding islamic practice and tradition. I’ll be curious to see if you find the utopia you seek, but I personally believe that you can’t escape bigotry and intolerance, it will just manifest differently and be directed at different groups of people depending on where you are. It’s just more tolerable and easier to not see it when you belong to the group that isn’t being maligned. Hopefully you can find the balance where you feel comfortable and what best fits your family, wherever that happens to be.
