We brought our small Center Console 103 miles offshore to go fishing for Yellowfin Tuna. In order to make the long journey we needed 185 gallons of gas! Let's just say the weather was a little choppier than we expected...Thankfully we made it back in one piece and brought our Tunas to a gourmet chef who made an amazing dish with our fish

Honestly unless you’re at a high end restaurant most of the seafood will have been frozen. For sushi it’s all frozen. At which point it doesn’t matter if you’re far from the ocean.
@TheJackedSalty
@TheJackedSalty 18 күн бұрын
@ we make a lot of our own sushi 🍣 What we have noticed is how we handle the tuna after we catch it. The faster it’s bled, the faster it is ethically brained ☠️, and the quicker you can cool down the meat … the better. Obviously it all depends on the make and model of the tuna 😂 but for us to maximize the quality, that is what we noticed makes the biggest difference 🤷🏼

@TheJackedSalty 18 күн бұрын
@ at one point In time humans sailed across the open ocean 🌊 with a piece of fabric and a prayer that Steve was telling the truth about uncharted land … Stupid is relative to the boaters skill and risk assessment abilities 🤷🏼 I’ve seen some people who own a boat and can’t even park it. In that case, owning a boat without proper training is … not smart

If you keep the boat moving until you clear the other lines and just let the fish run, you won’t tangle your lines as much. And troll with the drag lower and turn it up when necessary. You won’t pull as many hooks. Not saying you did, just an observation
