We get Atlantic BF in washington state, I have yet to hook into one though. I love to eat maguro and can only dream of a catch like this. Wild you guys caught on spinning rods. I usually see much more aggressive rod and feel selection for these fish. 🎣 great job guys!

your really wanting me to start fishing again! i only have a small rod, so its not good for deep sea fishing, but it definitely looks fun! Also a side note, it kinda gets me a little sometimes, its usually pronounced poh-kay, if you are just cutting the fish to eat, but poke bowls are sometimes pronounced poh-kee.

The survival rate of catch and released fish depends on the species. Some have a much higher chance of death some don't. For bluefin tuna I've heard it's around 17 and 50 percent mortality rate. But different studies give different numbers.
