The camera inside is actually working with a bigger system. The car has an automated crash detection, when you crash it films the front, and rear of the car + the inside. I thought it was about 30 seconds prior to the crash and 30 seconds after.

Great video guys. My MB blue G90 arrives in April & I’ll be down to see you for mods. You are 100% correct to keep the mods lease friendly as these will be mostly leased by company car drivers (me included). Point to note though, Benefit in kind is 8% not 0% as you say. Still very cheap for a 727bhp V8 though!!

5:22 You didn’t press the key. All BMWs equipped with Comfort Access & Powered bootlid can be opened handsfree using a foot motion, as follows: 1. Carry key on your person. 2. Approach rear. 3. In one fluid motion kick your foot forward under the centre where the towball might be and pull your foot back. 3a. Your foot does not need to touch the vehicle. 3b Your shin should almost touch the bumper 3c The top of your foot should travel close to the bottom of the vehicle. …it takes a little practice. 4. Above works on both a locked & unlocked vehicle and to both open and to close the vehicle.

thanks for this. so many times been stood there hands full faffing around sweeping my foot under the bumper trying to get it to open. its no.3 thats key i think. most people, including in this vid tend to do the sweeping motion which doesnt work

@@badboi4lyffYou’re welcome. The triggering sensor is a dual plane radar: One points outward at about 45 degrees, one inward at about 100 degrees. The idea is that the sensor must differentiate between normal movement around the rear of the vehicle and the user’s intention to open the boot/trunk. So the changes each radar plane experiences must happen within a timed period and in order: Outer plane Inner plane Outer plane 1, 2, 3 (within, say, 1.5 sec) = Open /Close Effectively, the leg motion is a key, and it must fit the lock! Armed with this knowledge and some practice, you’ll get it every time.

Guys just an idea - look at the new 992.2 GTS tailpipes and the insane hole, and design/3d print/produce an addon (might be even a simple as half pipe extension to glue/add on to exisitng endings) that hides the frigging gap please. First one to do it will make a ton of money, literally every person that picks up the car would want this.

@ that only worked on pre-LCI models. For the LCI nobody has been able to share a mainstream way to get it done because BMW moved the module into the headlight itself. Nobody is selling the yellow drl module for LCI either. Huge market for it if there was.. I’d definitely purchase

Any one have 4500 miles on the car yet? I have noticed tire and or axel noise has gotten very loud on a high way trip with outside temps in the 20 degrees f. It has the OEM tires on it. Then to my supprise a check engine light after 4 hours of high way at 78 mph avg. Have to call bmw tomorrow am but for the cost of this road noise like this this quick 2 months old flag ship is so disappointing
