Have been enjoying your channel for a few months now. I'm a narrowboat nerd in the U.S. and it's been a pipe dream for me for a while to buy a narrowboat and retire on the UK's inland waterways. May or may not ever happen. In the meantime I'm considering van life here. Separate from all of that, I just wanted to tell you that I really nerded out when I saw the Baldur's Gate 3 images flash by. I adore that game! I started playing Dragon Age and Mass Effect around 2010, and the story and characters are such a throwback to those times (the best of all worlds, imo), I just love it. 🤓❤

Your vlogs always keeps me smiling. Keep up the amazing work! I think at 7:56, the narrowing used to be either a stop lock or a normal lock that was removed. Hence the reason why it’s super narrow. 😀

That was a brilliant vlog with some excellent drone footage adding a new dimension to your great filming. We did that route a year ago, and so it was lovely to revisit the sights we saw then, on your vlog. We actually got wedged in lock 45 and just couldn't get our boat out because the gates wouldn't fully open, so we had to rip off the 2 low-level pipe fenders fitted on the hull. I really thought i was in there for the night! I can't wait to see what you think of the next part of your journey. Just love watching you two. Have fun xx

They were some of the most picturesque locks I've seen for a long time (and Wes, you (and the crocs) handled that whole flight like an absolute trooper 😂). Lovely to see Rufus getting released from the steel prison and stretch the paws off lead 😊. And I must say Wes that was a very fetching shower cap - bet that kept your hair very dry 🤔🫣🤣. Lapworth has such a special place in my heart, as I used to live there on my narrowboat and met one my dearest friends there 🥹! When me and my partner first arrived, my partner was almost knocked into the water going through that tight bridge 😂. He hadn't realised just how little room there was as he was talking to me on the side of the boat 😂 x

Ooooh get a bite clicker for insect bites( if you haven’t already got one) they work for relieving insect bites,electronically scratches them where actual scratching makes them get infected,they really work

Lovely video. One question - I was always told not to put your windlass on the lock beam when opening or closing the gate, as it might slip off, inevitably straight into the lock. What's the feeling nowadays? Or do you just like living dangerously?

Thank you! Yeah that's probably a good point! We don't do it on some of the more rickety lock gates, but a lot of them are pretty sturdy... Perhaps we're just thrill seekers 😂

I’ll be coming back as ants and spiders and various other insects for the next 1000 lives because of how many I’ve killed in this life😳🫣🐜🕷️🪰🦟🪳🪲. I can’t help it they know I don’t like being surprised or stung/bitten by them and sneak up on me all the time. Karma is real. There are many earwigs this summer🤬. Congrats on doing all those locks.
