Hi Vashti, I pray one day you read this. I realize it’s been 8 years since your beloved husband and children’s father passed away, but my tears still fall down my cheeks when I watch Spartacus or his interviews on KZbin. I have watched many movies and shows and I have never seen a character, a man be so real. I felt his pain and anguish, and also his happiness and laughter. He was a sweet hearted, wise man and He made Spartacus the best show of all time. I pray you and your children are doing wonderful and know that their father’s legacy is forever immortalized in playing such a real historical character with great cause.

I watched Spartacus just recently only to find out that he already left in this world 8 years ago.. it was so sad to think. He was a fine actor and a great family man. God bless him and the family he left behind. He was the best Spartacus ever!

Not sure you guys are stilll active on this channel... watched Spartacus years after it's final season... came to it on praise from a friend... watched the 1st season with Andy... found out about his condition with the change of actors.... and wasn't sure I could finish the show out! Saw how the rest of the cast loved and honored him... then watched his journey through treatment with you and your family.... definitely a humbling experience! Pray you and the kids are doing well!!! Stay safe and blessed! Best wishes!

Just watched the documentary Be Here Now on Netflix a few days ago. Very moving and I thought he would pull through as I did not know who he was but he was so determined to live. Recently noticed on FACEBOOK that Vashti is working in a place called School of Life in Sydney giving classes on dealing with death.Very rare to find a video of her that is not six or so years old!!! Made me appreciate that I am alive, a gift we all take for granted. Made me more positive about life, rather than complaining about little stuff that is not important. The documentary is well worth your time. You can learn a lot from it.

I just saw Be Here Now and God it took me back. Ive lost 2 husbands, yep 2! I remember being this young widow (30) and feeling like Oh my God my life is over. And well after the second i just stopped getting married. I was only 40 after my sec husband died after an inaccurate diagnosis of non Hodkins lymphoma. I know how devestating it is and i remember i would wake in the morning and it would be like a punch in the stomach! I also lost my daughter at birth but if i could have known strong women like yourself and taken the grief counseling maybe i wouldn't have sunk to those depths. Im fast approaching 50 and its amazing how raw it still can be somedays. I was lucky to be loved hard by 2 wonderful men and i see it as a blessing but it makes moving harder. And ppl that havent experienced real love and the loss of that love just dont want to deal with you. The Documentary was amazing and thank you for such a close look at your family and your struggle. God bless you and your family!

Well said Sharon, I know many many people who passed away from cancer and not even a single soul knows about them. To me they all are Spartacus and fought bravely to the end and they are all free men. Cheers to all free men.

This was a beautiful story💜They truly were soul-mates💜WoW! Jesse looks like his father💜I have never really thought it a saying but when things unfortunate happen, or there were circumstances in which were out of my grasp at the moment, I would always just say," Life happened". For example, "well Tam, how did your labs go?" "They were positive."💜 "I thought for sure they were going To be Great, you thought that as well, correct?"💜Yeah well, 💜"Life Happened."💜The reason why I say at the moment is because we are blessed with choices and as I learn a little more, I realize okay how can I make this work, how can I further overcome, How can I learn in this case to truly just Be Here Now💜My future has never been mapped out for me, and I am grateful because though I never know whats going to become of myself or My Husband and I, we handle it as gracefully and positive and most important, as something that can help us grow stronger not weaker💜 Your family is incredible how you have gracefully handled the situation with Andy; your family has grown closer and have adapted to the different ways in which things have changed💜I admit, I get angry, sad I want to catharticly scream sometimes💜How do you deal with those feelings? I'd really like to know Vashti.💜I myself, if feeling that way, do cry. It's part of Being here and present with myself Now.Lol💜 I just adore you all as one big beautiful family, you've really touched my heart💜Andy is no longer suffering and is a beautiful Angel💜Again, I hope he still visits you all and comforts you in the form of a lovely butterfly💜😘💜

Sharon im quite sure many dont but hes the only celebrity who documented this horrible battle. Ive watch several documentaries on Netflix right now that were about your average Joe. If you watch the Documentary youll see it touches more on a young man trying to be a husband and father to 2 tiny children and having to give up more that just an acting career!
@melodylapier6 жыл бұрын
The Whitfield's choosing to document their journey doesn't take from any one else. In fact I would say it showed that the lives you think these celebrities live aren't always the bed of roses you think they are. His story broke my heart, as I imagine so would the stories of anyone fighting a battle that he or she cannot win no matter how strong in body and mind. No matter how wealthy, or poor, how young or old, we are all susceptible to things more powerful than we are. What we should take from Andy's story is to live life to the fullest. You're not :guaranteed a tomorrow no matter who you are. Let go of the pettiness and fill your heart and soul with kindness and love. The rest of the petty jealousy, anger, hate only hurts you. Do your best to have compassion and empathy for all of your fellow mankind. You don't know their stories.
