Haha yes bricklayer is tidy no waste either no waste of cement no waste of blocks very clean .... And no will for sure be sand and cement on walls :) If i think bed rooms to cold i might stick the insulated boards on but most likely on bedrooms ,as cavity is only 100mm as apposed to 150 the plans to house are old didn't want to change to much. but this chimney for sure was a little bad design flaw water aiming down the valley right against it

The joys of building ur own house. I had a floor up stairs that needed raised and I used laths cut to size. Screwed and glued them and then flooring on top and no issues at all just more time to do. U have a long way to as yet man.

We really do have a bug long road a head just pushing on to get roof on her then will be a slow down. hopefully have windows and doors in before winter

@@macplastering it’s all money but the roof is big if u can get that done for winter. Insulate it to the max when ur doing it and make it air tight

We are going for pumped walls and will be a roll in at floor joist then Kingspan the roof or similar insulation but not looking forward to buying all that

@@macplastering if I had to do it again I would go the warm roof route and hvac. This year I’m starting to top up the cavity with eurathane. And for u tape the windows before plaster and tape all the kingspan board joints. And tape up the tops of the conduit and when ur plaster boarding draft seal any down lights. Down lights in our house let so many drafts in. Do it right the first time man

How have you kept air flow to the timbers in the roof mate just over facie vents or more systems >? yes been looking at the tape looks a great job, when you say eurathane do you mean expanding foam ? For down lights i might make a plaster cap I seen clay ones before they are supposed to be like a fire block but like you say will stop drafts
