For Addi’s hair I recommend trimming the dead ends then using a leave in conditioner over night and then braid it while she sleeps in the braid. It will be a lot less knotty and easier to manage.

I agree I love the length but a good trim would make it look so much healthier and maybe even thicker ( bc the ends are so blonde you can barely see them ) plus your ends start to thin out when it’s time for a good trim But after that a braid in her hair at night would help with tangles and also give her the beach wave look I bet It would look SO CUTE !!!

I'm always amazed at Jessica's energy and mentioned it to my daughter. She reminded me that I held down an executive job, owned my own home, put my daughter into a private school, and had her in ballet and diving lessons when she was just 5. For addies hair, I suggest putting her hair in braids before bed. It makes your hair less tangled and easier to brush in the morning. Its a literal life saver!! I love your videos!

A few years back, I went from crazy long hair (down to my hips) straight to a pixie cut. People thought I was nuts, but it was so awesome! And once you go short, you never want those long locks again. Lilia is definitely gonna enjoy having short hair!

I absolutely love that. Addie has hair now and she's so excited about it. I'm a hair stylist and so I always have to explain to my little girl clients that if they want long pretty hair they have to get their hair trimmed up because split ends are bad for the hair and they only go up which means it breaks the hair and then it makes their hair shorter. Anytime I explain this then they are more willing to get a haircut. Instead of being scared or upset about getting a haircut, hopefully that helps so she won't resist the haircut. Because that is where the tangles are coming from or the split ends.

Hi Jess when I was around Lilia’s age I had really long thick curly hair down to my butt and I absolutely hated it but everyone else loved it so I put off cutting it for a while and then I finally cut my hair on my 8th grade grad day and I absolutely loved it and I was able to donate it too 10/10 one of the best feelings in the world it was a literal weight off my shoulders! And yet again I wanted to cut it a couple of years later when I was a sophomore in high school, but I wanted to do a much more drastic cut, so I shaved it 😂 but I grew it out to a pixie cut for a while which I loved, and I was able to find a new love for my hair and I’ve continued to grow out my hair again since then and now it’s been 2 1/2 years and my hair is already down to the bottom of my shoulder blades. I hope whatever choice Lilia makes for her hair in a couple of months she loves it as much as I did when I cut it! ❤

Things that helped me sleep w long, thick hair while continuing to grow it are Wet hair brushes and combs, braids or 1 braid at night, or a loose bun. I used to wake up with huge knots so we would cut my hair pretty often. But when I wanted to grow it out, that wasn't an option so doing preventive hair styles really helped. Plus, I comb 1st then brush as to not pull on my scalp and hair as much. Hope this helps Addie keep her hair as long as she wants while keeping it easy to take care of 😊

One thing that’s helps for hair at night is putting it in braids at night that way it stays together. It always worked for me because my hair is really long too and I still put it in braids now at night and I am 14. Definitely recommend it. Also just incase it gets knotted when she is swimming braids work for that too.

I have long hair and I sleep on a Blissy pillowcase (a silk pillowcase) and put leave in conditioner in my hair before bed and it makes a huge difference for keeping my hair detangled while I sleep. 🥰

I love Lilia’s hair and that she’s going to cut it! I have super thick hair like she does and cutting it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I also started with an undercut, then chopped it off, and i don’t think I’ll ever go back to long hair. I live in Florida and it gets hot here. My hair is heavy and I usually straighten my hair even though it's not that curly. I do it because it makes my hair lighter and helps with the heat even though I strongly with the humidity. Even though Lilia has straight hair maybe try straighten it and see if that helps. my hair is about 3ft long, i’ve always braided it before bed so it doesn’t knot. i would recommend Aussie’s conditioning spray as a detangler. my hair is incredibly thick and its the best spray ive used.

I was a HUGE tomboy like I dressed only in boy clothes until starting in 6th grade. Well my mom only had my hair trimmed barely every few months until I was in 6th grade and it was passed my butt. I played club, travel softball. So it was annoying even at that but in P.E. at school I couldn't do so many things... Like you know the little seats with handles and wheels and you'd scoot around playing whatever game the teacher would say. I couldn't use those because of the risk my hair getting caught in the wheels. My mom refused to let me cut my hair until I was in 6th grade. So it's awesome you are being so cool about it. But I'm also glad my mom didn't let me do what I wanted lol I wasn't thinking back then as a young child. I hope more parents follow by example from you 😘 you are such an incredible mom

Tip on roller skating: you never want to have your legs too far apart from each other, try to keep them close but not too close to where you skates hit each other bc that’s how you can fall

Do you use conditioner on Addie's hair when you wash it? I noticed my hair was getting big painful tangles in it and I recently, by chance, changed the shampoo and conditioner I was using, so far I haven't notice my hair tangle at all! My theory is that the conditioner I was using wasn't hydrating my hair well enough! The one I have switched to has coconut oil in it! I love the smell!

I cut my hair short when I was about 14 (I’m 21 now), I had hair that was all the way to my waist and also was really thick as well, it actually felt really good to cut most of it off because my hair just felt so much lighter weight wise(I cut it to my shoulders) my family did cry a little bit but I haven’t grown my hair that long since, she definitely will not regret it when she cuts her hair.

Tommy and Caden are rolling blading. I never used skates. Went straight to rolling blading since I was about 9-10 years old. Now I am 36 and haven't been rolling blading in 15 years. I would definitely fall on my ass! 😂

Try to get Addie to wear a scarf or bonnet when sleeping. It will stop the tangling while sleeping and slow down breakage.. loving Lillie she has my support an my heart

Do you have a Tangle Teezer hairbrush? They're the BEST for little girl's long hair (and yours too). Gentle and effective. They sell them at Target. Also Amazon has a big selection of colors and one that is super soft for delicate fine hair. They really work. 👍

A tip for fruit roll up for addie if she wants her fav if u look at the package it usually has the flavour of what the fruit roll up is inside and that way she can get the flavour she wants! I use this all the time
