Allergies are very frightening for you. I have very bad allergies and I could see in my mother’s eyes how traumatic it was for her to see me go through it. I took allergy shots for years and they eventually, I out grew them, but it wasn’t until I left college. Now I’m well into my winter years and they have returned. I keep an espi pen for emergencies. I felt those tears. We tend to feel a lot for our babies. As mothers we always think it is siemthing we could have controlled and we blame ourselves. There are people feeding babies ice cream earlier than 6 months I tell you. So experimenting with foods with conscious awareness is a very responsible thing to do as a parent, there is nothing you did wrong. Babies are a learning experience and you will never deliberately harm your child, never. You are a great mom. Andrew reminds me of my husband, so cool calm and collected. I am always the one who freaks out and and he is always so positive, I guess we carried these babies for so long and have been looking out for them since we found out we were pregnant. Someone told me that there is still a lot we are going to face and we need to build strength, but man it is hard not to worry about our babies

Aldecia you are one in a million, the best mom ever. Don't feel bad about it though it was a good experience. You wouldn't have known if Nolan is allergic to peanut butter. Well now you know. Babies are not the same. I think it will be great if they did his blood type as well, this will help you to know which foods to feed him or not. Love you guys ❤️❤️❤️

Askies mommy, it's the worse seeing your child not well, you feel like taking the pain away. We supposed to feed them such to see if their allergic, stuff like fish, eggs peanut butter and stuff, so don't feel bad at all mama. I am glad his well n happy. Parenting is an overwhelming blessing ❤🤗

I tried to substitute sugar with honey when my daughter turned 1, her tongue was swollen after eating and she developed some fever . She was weak .We took her to the hospital

Mom guilt is so real. I discovered my son was lactose intolerant after I noticed him throwing up each time I ate something with dairy (he's exclusively breastfed). I always felt so bad when I'd forget to take out the cheese in my burger or accidentally take something with the slightest bit of lactose and he'd react. Just remember to speak to yourself as you would to a fellow new mom when they've "messed up" - say it's okay and you're doing an amazing job.

When trying new food with babies you should keep a bottle of kids Diphenhydramine near by for allergies.

Katli_ May We use bepathen for Nolan as his normal bum cream unfortunately this kind of rash needed a medical help. And Thank God what the doctor prescribed worked within hours. His skin is clear now.

I feel so emotional because I know how it feels. 😭 But please don't blame yourself Aldecia, that's how kids are, with my son it was an eggs. Vomiting is so painful and draining as an adult, I always feel sorry and emotional when I see a kid vomiting. Thank God that he is healthy and Strong now. 🙏

AldeciaandAndrew I was much older, around 6/7 my mouth started reacting as well and I vomited, anything with nuts does this to me.

Tebogo M we did more tests for Nolan they said he is only allergic to peanuts only and not other nuts.
