@@aidenho6085 OK! You are safe with a train but they are VERY slow, and not that clean. It wouldn't be the most pleasant experience and maybe that's why they are so SLOW. Tickets are dirt cheap though.

Always good to see Pete on the floor with his Lego. Never heard of Plovdiv. Had to look it up. I love the idea of the 'artsy vibe.' Beautiful place. Looks nice and laid-back. It's a pity that Bulgaria is one of those countries that we foreigners know so little about. Really enjoyed that 😛

The whole Balkan region is entirely underrated! It's a great place to travel-- as long as you don'g mind busses. 😉
@jordan933910 ай бұрын
Sofia resident here. There are a lot of tourists lately. Steph and Pete made good choice to skip Sofia for Plovdiv. And as they said, the whole Balkans are extremely underrated and and it's safer than Western Europe for tourists. Busses suck a little less than a trains, and if you don't mind renting a car you can visit many many interesting places at less than 1 hour drive from Plovdiv but it's not that easy with a public transport. Driving here is a little challenging though, but not that much as in southern Italy. And as I said, there are a lot of tourists lately, and intensive tourism makes the places different. And not in a good way. So it's might be better to visit those places sooner.

You sir (or ma’am but I think it’s Adam), are observant. There are so many of these ashtray moments that I often edit out but occasionally I’m like, I want to remember this. The Lego multiplies but it’s basically the only toy so we don’t complain. 😆

If you want to see the real Bulgaria never go to Sofia. It's the armpit of the country. Just land at the airport, and get out ASAP. Even the people living there can't wait for the weekend to get the f.... out of there. Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Bourgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo. Make a trip in the mountains, or the Black sea coast. You'll have a much better time.

Sofia is quite beautiful in a lot of parts, speak for yourself man. Also, of course the people are out abroad when it's summer, because it gets a bit boring to stay in the same city 24/7, no matter the city.
@nikolayivanov77052 ай бұрын
@@rawka_7929 Just the summer? Every weekend there are traffic jams on the exits. People go to live in the armpit for the higher wages, not because of the city. And for tourists? There are way more interesting things to see outside of the armpit.
@rawka_79292 ай бұрын
@@nikolayivanov7705 As a native citizen of "the armpit", I can tell you that no, in fact our roads are not jammed 24/7 because people want to leave. At most, it's people going back home because a lot actually work in Sofia but live elsewhere.
