We stayed there in Feb, LOVED it! My aunt won 14K. Rooms great, SoHo premium King with Fridge. Lots of cheap food options for resort credits. Lots of drink servers, great slots. Will be back!

We stayed in a Soho King prim room last year and it was much larger than the one you showed same with the bathroom, it was larger than the one you showed. Our stay was awesome, great service and great food options, fun casino. The location was ok, but compared to some other places wasn't bad at all.

I have gone to Vegas for the past 6 years and stay for like 3/4 days.I always stay at New York New York and have always had a great time..Good selection of restaurants with reasonable prices. All the rooms have been redone and are nice. I'll be gong back in May...Can't wait.

I like walking thru there. Lots of cheaper food options. And I like that the casino isn’t massive. But I really hate that pool area and that’s one thing I like doing is hanging out around the pool. It was too small and the water didn’t look clean after people were in it all day. So I’ll go visit it but I won’t stay there

I love NYNY. It's not boujee, but clean and comfortable. Nice/inexpensive restaurants, entertainment, and when we were there we had fantastic drink service. Sorry your experience was different!

I loved my stay at NYNY last month. True, I went through cash on the machines much faster than at other casinos, but there are other casinos to play at! I did have issues with my digital key. It simply wouldn't work on the elevators or my room door. But easy enough to make a physical key card. The food options were great!

When my wife and I first started coming to Vegas some 30 years ago and started getting offers, we mostly always stayed at NYNY (sometimes MGM Grand). We pretty much just frequent the MGM properties. Even when the offers started coming under the MGM umbrella and they gave us the choice of hotels, we usually stuck with NY. It just fit what we liked-a more relaxed atmosphere, lots of variety, kind of Disney-like. However, (and now that we’re older), when Park MGM went to non-smoking, we switched to there. We still pop into NY on most visits. I get what you say about not having much luck there. Kind of weird how that happens because, as far as I know (or what we’re told), slot pay rate isn’t regulated by the casinos, so you’d think you’d have the same (poor) chance of winning at NY as you would at Park MGM. I could be wrong. But, yeah, there are casinos I mostly never have any luck at. Oh, the room I remember is the shot of the suite you showed and the bathroom in the remodeled room looks the same as from before, too.

While I will never stay there I always stop in for a chocolate martini 🍸 or two or three . Fun place but my jam is the higher end properties Aria and Bellagio or even Cosmo. I took my 18 yr old daughter to NYNY for her spring break/ graduation present. Yeah, the rooms are pretty basic, about 2 teaspoons above Holiday Inn quality, whatever... (every hotel room looks the same when you're asleep.) However, the rest of the resort more than makes up for whatever may be lacking on the hotel room side. We loved the food options and how easily accessible it was, right around the corner from the elevators. Outdoor dining was also a big plus. Loved Top Round roast beef sandwiches!

Just left there last week after staying for 8 days. Loved the pool. We got a major volleyball pool game with 40 people playing (all strangers) and the vibe was so fun.

I agree with just about everything in your review, yet I constantly stay at NY-NY. I also prefer Park MGM/NoMad (my favorites for my budget!), but I normally travel with one or two family members with disabilities, and NY-NY offers a good number of ADA/Accessible rooms while I’ve never been able to get one at Park MGM. If I manage to score an accessible room with the roll-in shower, it’s incredible! Those bathrooms are large, with far more separation between the shower and toilet, and the larger sink area (with a closet on the opposite side!) is a separate area outside the shower area. I do agree the regular bathrooms are motel quality, the pool is unappealing, drink service is hit or miss and the smell of smoke is noticeable in the casino. But I’ve been very surprised (or just lucky!) that I’ve had no issues with noisy rooms or kids behaving badly. Also, I have done well multiple times at their slots. 😏 My best results in Las Vegas casinos has been at NY-NY, Park MGM, Bellagio, Wynn and Planet Hollywood. The worst results have been at all other Caesars properties and Venetian. It makes sense to stay where you are happiest to play 🎰 . I think of NY-NY and Park MGM as a package deal, since they are tied together via the Park. You get the best of both worlds! The tram to Aria and Bellagio are very helpful as well. That section from NY-NY to Bellagio is, for me, the best part of the Las Vegas Strip. Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts with us. As a bonus, your video just told us there is now a new Cinnabons and Hagen-Daas at NY-NY. 😋

Been there twice and enjoyed it. I like being close to the T Mobile Areana. It’s fairly priced compared to other casinos. Park MGM and MGM are way too expensive and Excalibur and Luxor are way rundown. I’m also from the NY-NJ area so it brings back memories

We are MGM Rewards members and normally stay at the Park MGM. We also stayed at the Aria a couple of times and stayed once at NYNY. To us there is no comparison as far as the rooms go. Park MGM Nightingale Suite which we usually get compted for 4 nights is by far the best to us. Too bad you can't win at NYNY Josh, I've done okay there at the Pai Gow table and soso on the slots. Odds are if you keep playing there you WILL win. Don't give up!

I love NYNY. I have stayed there 7 or 8 times, but not since 2015. When I don't stay at NYNY I do a lot of gambling there because I love the casino. Definitely give Il Fornaio a try. I slept on that place for years and when I finally went, I was pleasantly surprised.

I feel you on the not winning at the casino. I have had favorable opinions on many other strip properties that let me play for a while. Sportsbook I walked by like a million times not even realizing it was a sportsbook. That's my biggest hit on this resort is that it seems impossible to win. But I can go across the street at any time to MGM Grand to play. Nice review good job

We could not agree more! We enjoyed our room - except for the one prison-like skinny window overlooking T-Mobile Arena and Park MGM - but that bathroom … hard pass from us. Serious motel vibes. The casino is so lively and vibrant, but we had bad drink service as well, and for some reason we hardly played there. We either went to Park MGM or Aria. Something about it just doesn’t click for us. The location and Park area are very nice, and the food options, while plentiful and reasonably priced, do seem lacking at the higher end. We have eaten at Il Fornaio in another city and it’s pretty good. I expect the NYNY one would be as well. Gotta try that rollercoaster sometime; it does look fun. Really great overview of the property! We probably won’t go back either.

I love NYNY for it's location, and the all the little restaurants. I stayed there my last trip and just looked back at my W/L - of all of the Vegas MGM casinos, I gambled there the least. Like really gambled nothing there, under 100 bucks. I also have been conditioned to losing there, I guess I just didn't gamble there. Stayed there and liked it a lot, but when I went out at night to gamble....went towards Aria/Cosmo/Bellagio, or the other way to Mandalay.

We stayed at NYNY several times in years past but the last time we went, which was several years ago, it was filthy. In addition, the restaurants in the food court closed very early. We would go back to the room around 11 or 12 and pretty much every restaurant was closed every night.

I love the NYNY. Found it to be quite revitalized after the pandemic with new rooms. Casino Center Bar was a more happening spot. If you;'re complaining about drink service they will easily ignore you if you're not playing video card games. Just put a 20 in and you can have 2-3 free drinks even if you lose it. Previously the Piano Bar was the attraction but not anymore. Granted, we go to Vegas to see hockey and it's close to the arena. Coyote Ugly: you're not missing anything. Went in once during a stag trip years ago. We were supposedly on some "VIP Guest List" but you wouldn't have known it.... We may have lasted 30 minutes before bailing.

This is a fair review. Takes are spot on. I like NYNY to play and to eat, but I stay at other MGM properties. Would have loved NYNY's arcade as a kid. I think the advice of staying at NYNY for T-Mobile events is solid. Two points: My least favorite thing about NYNY is that it's a pain in the ass to get around at night, especially after said T-Mobile events. As they say in New York, forget about it! NYNY will have the crowds of a MGM Grand or a Bellagio, but in a much smaller casino. It's already hard to get around the casino with NYNY's casino layout, but it can get so packed that it's very difficult to get from one end of the casino to the other, or to play slots. Like you said, it's more of a party atmosphere. Favorite thing right now about NYNY? America is open 24 hours. At least something is.

The prices are definitely creeping up for both New York New York and Park MGM. We do a package including airfare from Toronto as it works out cheaper. Mandalay Bay has also gone way up in price. Looking at June 23-27 I found Venetian and Palazzo equally priced (which is odd, usually Palazzo is higher) at $ 891 all in. For the same time frame flamingo is $663 (for basic go room), Excalibur $621, NYNY is $725 and Park MGM $722, Mandalay Bay $977. For a bit extra I'm going with the Palazzo. Love their casino, pool and general customer service. The fact that Mandalay Bay has become priced like a top tier hotel surprises me.

I'm seeing a lot of people on other reviews from last year and before that NYNY > Park MGM because of options of food and a better room/casino floor. But maybe that's when it costed more to stay at park MGM. I look at it as, if you want a value hotel that give you a lot of flexibility for families or cost, then NYNY for sure. If you want a value hotel but have a looser budget on food/drink/gambling and don't mind hopping to Aria or Cosmo, then gotta go with Park MGM

When in vegas we always go to Il Fornaio. They have very good bread, pizza and pastas. You should do some research on Il Fornaio and Cannaletto in the Venetian. You might enjoy the food. Sometimes it's nice to have great food and not pay $500.00 for the meal. I.e. Vetri.

I’ve never stayed at NYNY, but I have eaten there and gambled there, and I can say your assessment is pretty much exactly my experience. I have eaten at the Il Fornaio there, which is one of my favorite chain restaurants. You are exactly right-it isn’t the highest-end. But I had good food and excellent service at a price that I felt was appropriate for being on-Strip. I did not win in the casino, either. For me what made it unenjoyable was that they were doing some kind of filming there and I got yelled at for accidentally walking into a shot. That’s when I cashed out and left. Kind of ruined my whole evening, because I brought that negative energy with me to my next stop (ARIA) and lost even more there. Lastly, your comment about drink service also matches my experience. I don’t know what it is, but the only MGM property where I have had even halfway decent drink service is MGM Grand. All the others were horrible. This was a couple years ago, in the throes of the panorama, so I was hoping things had changed-but it sounds like they haven’t

NYNY is my favorite MGM casino. The theme and layout with high ceilings. It is definitely more laid back than Bellagio, Aria, and Cosmo. Drink service has been better than those 3 as well. Do prefer the non-smoking at Park MGM but it is annoying that there are no late night eats open there. They tell me to go to NYNY for late night food. (Crack Shack should be open later)

We don’t have a video on the MyVegas rewards. We’ve used a couple at NYNY. The first is the all day roller coaster ride pass - for free! Also good to use is the buy one get one free Tom’s beers at Tom’s. A couple good deals for sure! And if you can find a $20 off $40 for a meal, we’ve used that at other MGM properties!

We like NY NY, win more in the high limit room than the regular casino. Drink service is hit and miss, we usually drink at The Center Bar and play video poker for a bit. Love Tom's Watch Bar for the vibe and appetizers.

Variance is a weird thing. I've actually had good luck gambling at NYNY. What you described is similar to my experience at Venetian.

LOVED NYNY! Had the BEST omlet I habe ever eaten at Tom's Urban and the bottomless mimosas there are 🤌 Nine Fine Irishmen's fish and chips were FIRE! the gambling for me was pretty good, the drink service SUCKS!!! Never got a drink while playing. Agree about the tiny bathrooms, too! The roller coaster was awesome! Rode it at 11 PM in the front row..soo fun! We did the BOGO for the roller coaster.

NYNY is the only casino where I won $100 on slots😂Spent it at Il Fornio, way back in the 90s. Enjoy 9 Fine Irishman too!! Great bar, & food. We loved the arcade and coaster❤. We stayed at the Tropicana (always) and walk over. Sadly, the Trop may be gone soon. Much better pool area there when they really made an effort to impress.

The Restaurants fit the mid tier price range I feel a lot ask for but people tend to rather go cheap or all out expensive in Vegas so they aren’t the most exciting places to pick to eat at

I love NY-NY, the new remodeled rooms are much better than the old ones. I never have to go the lobby to register or check out because I have the MGM app and do it there. You can get a digital key or print it yourself at the lobby. It literally takes less than a minute to print your own room keys. I also like several of the restaurants. The only thing I don’t like about NY NY is that the slot machines pay nothing and there are no many video poker machines, which I prefer to play.

I used to always stay at NYNY but someone stole my wallet out of my backpack while I was playing a slot during my last visit in November and they were completely unwilling to do anything. They wouldn’t check cameras or assist filing a police report. They gave me 3 $25 vouchers and said “sorry bout ya.”

Spot on with your review. We actually did a family trip last summer at NYNY, our EPIC FAMILY TRIP!!. We spent way more time at the amusement/carnival games than we planned, also more $$$. :). And the food options was perfect for the kids. We knew about the small pool at nyny, so instead we did a cabana at MGM Grand, and the kids loved the lazy river. But don't ever see me and my wife stay there ourselves for many of your same reasons. But it does bring me back to the early 90's when I first started going to Vegas, in the themed heyday.... I rode rides out back at MGM Grand when they still had the Theme Park, as well as the front entry way decked out in The Wizard of Oz theme. Thanks for sharing, and reading our comments. Just wanted to share --- On our family trip we also saw Ka - just technically amazing, and beautiful. Fremont ZipLine, Oscars, Helicopter ride, the Flyover, M&M, Coke world! We had a blast. For other families... If you don't want to stay on strip, we also did a trip where we stayed at Tahiti Village, they also have a great pool, lazy river complex. It's a timeshare, but you can just stay like at a hotel.

You’re correct, the same goes for Excalibur, Luxor, Park MGM. I NEVER see anyone hitting slots. You’re correct, on a $3.75 line bet, $4,000.00 in should last more than one hour! Invaders from the Planet Moolah is mind boggling. Aria is not much better. The only MGM property that I routinely see people hitting is Bellagio.

The MGM properties’ drink service is always terrible. I love to check out NYNY every time I’m there. That center bar is so loud that it’s almost like it’s trying to make people go deaf. I’m totally with you that Park MGM is better!

Didn’t know it had an arcade area . Good tip , eventually I want to my grandkids to Vegas so my whole family can come with us . I am from NY so the street area is fun to visit . I plugged up the toilet there once. Too much TP, I guess, and it overflowed. But it was like 3 in the morning, my wife was asleep, and I just couldn’t call maintenance and wake her up. So I took a couple towels, soaked them with the water they could hold, wrung them out in the tub, and did that over and over until I got all of it, then took a shower. I think the toilet finally cleared, but it was a crossed-fingers flush that first time. In the morning, my wife said she could have sworn she heard the shower going that night. I kept the whole thing to myself.

Honestly, that resort is an only one time stay. We were there for5 nights. Not impressed with housekeeping. If I return to Vegas in the future, I'd stay at A different MGM property.
