47:23 oh this devious smile. This is why i love seeing people first play against welstra. Also one more thing against welstra. Minus power is a thing in Vanguard. You can go against a 33k Vanguard twin drive against your -7k. Thats a 40k shield just to match the power. Imagine that stage when you on 5 damage. That's the lethality of welstra.

Around 51:35 I will say this about yolo all to vg, it's something that I was "scared" of doing in competitive play at big tournaments or doing regularly because it felt like i was just going to be playing into the opponent's hand by giving up bigger rg attacks. I eventually realized that a 2 to pass all to vg, even with remaining rearguard attacks could be the only way i win that turn, as most of the time a lot of players will make the vanguard 2 to pass and be able to stop the rearguard attacks even if they get the power from triggers, so at best giving the power to rearguards is only an advantage play by pulling on average more cards from the opponent's hand, but doesn't necessarily lead to more wins overall by playing "safe". This lead to me changing it up in best of one tournaments to slamming all effects to vanguard when those opportunities happen and there's no clear optimal way to go with giving power to rearguards or not. It's such a dopamine rush to anime double trigger and smash through a guard XD I was in a regional tournament in texas and trying to make top 8, the last round before top cut, my opponent made it I think 3 to pass on quintuple drive (5 drive checks) and i still had like 3 attacks left in the turn, but i knew if they lived i wasn't getting another turn so i had to full send it. 1 crit, a draw, and a draw later and I somehow made it into top 8 XD

This is one tip I would give to intermediate players. I just knew at 51:15 that Filip would flip another trigger and should have given the first trig to VG, since Igni still had a huge hand and could easily defend the rear guards even with the 10k (plus we haven't seen much triggers from Filip at this point, checks have been dry). Playing Pokemon TCG, I realized one thing: "sometimes the only way to win is figuring out the puzzle that's been laid out to you by your opponent". Igni gave Filip an immediate out by 2 to passing Welstra that hasn't checked much triggers, unfortunate that Filip didn't take advantage of it by playing "safe", which lead to VSPO scaling and eventually won the game but outresourcing a Welstra that falls off late game.

This is really cool. Love seeing you collab with all these well-known vanguard youtubers. Can't wait for more collabs in the future, maybe get people like Outerorange, Nexus Corps, or even Nova out here again haha. Overall, excited to see what's to come next😁

I found a great example on attack orders and magic numbers in your video. At @58:12, if you attacked with the bigger column first (53k to 3k), Filip wouldn't have been able to one-card-guard with his OT (which you also should have in mind that he might have, it's almost like a 5th perfect guard), and would then be left with 0 cards in hand. If he instead risks it and takes a heal, yes that could backfire, but most people know when they can and cannot risk it. In his case, he probably would have perfect guarded the 53k attack, then guard with OT on the other attack and be left with nothing left going into his turn. Yes he wouldn't have lost on the spot, but that one card could have been an important piece. Small Ws make big Ws. A good rule of thumb in Standard is that you mostly want to attack higher to lower when they are at 5 damage and have fewer cards in hand to play around their perfect guards (no discard if hand is one or less). Hope what I wrote makes sense.

I've had a hard time finding a deck I really resonated in D era, since I felt like nobody encapsulated what my former main deck Gredora did (If you're reading comments Filip, maybe you'll remember that one guy who was a mod on the TDH server that wouldn't shut up about Megacolony, hello). Until DivineZ rolled around, I have just been flopping in and out of playing Cardfight because I just felt like I don't know what to play, until I tried out Welstra. Tried it before but felt like it wasn't hitting right, but the Fated One support just brought it all together. Like this whole deck is so cool, plus it's actually really strong. It goes hard, but doesn't go too far that it can't recover it's resources. It is a deck that has access to SO MUCH stuff: Draw power, Field Recovery, Power, Consistency, Retires, and even a Neuvellexpress. A tool that it didn't even need to have, but it just had anyway. I know the deck is so far from Gredora, or even Megacolony, but I have never had so much fun playing a deck. Playing much more Pokemon TCG nowadays, but Welstra is the reason I still keep playing games.

It is much better to try different things and get new flavors than remain stuck trying to be the same thing forever, otherwise you get stuck playing an encounter deck that barely works and has nothing to offer besides cynical nostalgia.

I'm enjoying that you invite Vanguard content creators to not only give their experience of the game but also playing against them to learn about it. It not only gives other content creators exposure but it also allows you to learn their play Styles and what decks they enjoy also learning the game yourself. I sincerely ask however, that you also look into inviting smaller Vanguard content creators as well. You can outreach more of the community not just the big well-known names. Some examples would be Wslasher, BenBen, Entropy Vanguard, OuterOrange, Yellowcard TCG, GGMrRogers, TySenseiSama, Nexus at Night and many other smaller VGtubers who have been a part of the community for years and make great content. I'm always looking for new VGtubers to support and I think it's be a great Outreach for you in making new friends to play against and content creators to work with. I hope you will consider inviting a few of these names and I look forward to continue watching your journey. 😊✌🏽

OH MY GOD ITS TDH AND IGNI TOGETHER WOOOOOO I LOVE YOU GUYS that aside damn, letting Filip play Welstra? Obviously haven't finished the video yet but man I expect a one sided slaughter lol EDIT: more of a fight than I expected, nice! (not spoiling go watch it folks). I think you're ready to expand to another full deck Igni haha. Perhaps one of the Divine ones👀? Some of the "budget" ridelines we got like Lascaria and Direful Dolls are pretty competitive too, and they don't use that many generics so they should be super affordable!
