If people would just look at some of your outtakes, they would understand just how much effort we put into filming these repairs, Great job Mark. By the way, there was a rectangle shaped door under the actuator. Was that the access door to the cabin air filter?

Good question Tim. I recorded this video 4 or 5 months ago, so I can't remember. If it is, I will do a video on replacing that later, but for now, the Flex is under 3 feet of snow right now! LOL!

Are you driving a Ford Flex? If so, it's blend door actuator (Double check part fits you vehicle): amzn.to/3S2r0Oi OR amzn.to/3UnzmS6 OR amzn.to/3Sna7h5 These use them in a few places to operate blend doors for heat, cold, also defrost to vents to floor, etc.

@@TigerTheLion77 No idea on the back. That would be a great idea for a video. (Unfortunately I am scheduled for a few months of videos) The actuators are little motors that open and close or redirect air flow. They have plastic gears that stripe when they get old, and that is what is clicking.

@@TigerTheLion77 There are actuators (motors) to open & close & redirect the air flow also in the back. I have not worked on those in the back, but it would be a great idea to do a video on it later.

I bought this around Sept, and have not had it plated yet. The only driving I did was driving it the 5 minutes drive home, so I don't even know what the chime sounds like...yet! It needs rocker panels for safety before I can plate it. Summer project) Nice to hear from you, North Point.

@@northpoint1039 I plan to use automotive impact resistant 2 part glue. Unfortunately I don't weld, although I almost bought a new welder last month.
