Looks great! Wraps are so easy to clean and very durable. I've had mine on for over 2 years on my Model S. No blemishes at all.

I agree. The stainless seems not only kind of boring, but it shows fingerprints really easy. However, having said that wraps are still wraps - not very tough I would imagine - and don't last probably as well as a cared-for paint job. I feel like the stainless steel that Tesla went with, for all of its toughness, the benefits don't outweigh the issues IMHO

I agree, I was surprised it changed the look as much as it did. If you care about the look, wrap is the way to go.

Yeah, I was indifferent to the looks one way or another, until I finally saw it in the showroom, and when driving, and was shocked at how ugly it looked. Fingerprints and just everything really show, even at a distance often. I'd probably wrap if I got one, perhaps orange camo in order to less disturb wildlife when car camping, but be visible to humans.

It looks great. I've seen pictures of several CT that have well done advertising wraps and are being used for work trucks. Jowua will get noticed on your mobile billboard.

I agree with you...why put something that you would worry about over a surface that you don't need to worry about? I was contemplating black on my CT, but decided against because of this (and the cost). I prefer the simplicity and look of stainless. Thanks for the vid!

Recently had a friend's 2022 Model Y estimated for a repaint. (No Color Change) The shop in Colorado Springs said it was $13,500. I wrapped my 2024 Model Y for $1,500 using a DIY kit. The local wrap shop gave me a $4,500 for a wrap. I will never own a car with paint without wrapping it...

I'm surprised they did a clean edge cut like that, rather than wrap internally slightly. It seems much more likely to peel at the edges as dirt etc ingresses.

Yes, I would most definitely wrap my Cybertruck, if/when I ever get one - and I'd also get the PPF. I just don't really like the stainless steel color, although I do like silver as a vehicle color - and stainless steel kinda looks silver.

Stainless looks dirty all the time. So I would ppf the stainless if you like stainless look to prevent cleaning stainless constantly.

All things considered including the work of getting the surface prepared, the cybertruck must be the ideal car for a wrap. How about an extra thick wrap millimetre sized, not so much of a film as a durable layer?😊 All cybertrucks look good wrapped and must be the easiest vehicle to do, and yours looks awesome. No need for clay bar. That's for soft paint. 0000 steel wool with soap or degreaser is perfect for cleaning stainless. Now it's wrapped you need to treat it as if it is covered in a soft fragile vinyl, just like you treat old records but, looks great with the wrap.

matte black 👌, its a good idea to throw a ppf on that front bumper! as an added layer, could do the hood too but that might be noticeable, doing the front in the stealth matte is not as noticeable of a sheen difference. stick to contactless car washes! contact will mess up the whole thing and maybe some corners

I got mines wrapped, use it like normal, as normal as I did with my Tacoma. Then just pressure wash it, nothing fancy.

My wrap with tools cost just under $1k The cybertruck is the easiest vehicle to wrap. I was quoted $7-$8k so I decided to do it myself. It was actually fun to do. Couple KZbin videos and you’re good to go.

Very tough to resell a car that's been repainted. Buyers are highly suspicious and run away. Best to not repaint even if it looks crap. I've done it but probably wouldn't again.

Looks great. And I'm sold on protective wrap. Two years ago I had my Model Y wrapped with matte protective film. Last year my neighbor backed into the bumper with one of those trailer hitch extension baskets. Tore the wrap up something awful. Looked like angry raccoons worked on it for a week. Not one scuff on the paint or bumper underneath. It did cost $1000 to his insurance to replace the film and more than half a day of my life. Was worth it. Don't just find the place closest to you. Find the best place period. The company that initially wrapped it left two tiny white bird droppings in the middle of the frunk. Then they blamed me. 1. They could've scraped it off. "We didn't want to damage the paint." 2. They could've dabbed it with even a black marker. My Y is gray. 3. At the very least they should've called me. And I'm sure the rookie who did it got chewed out or fired. The owner of the much place that fixed the bumper wrap cringed when he saw it. "Who would wrap over this?" So ask people with wrapped cars either cosmetic or protective wraps, which ever you're thinking about, if they recommend the place that did it. It seemed obvious to me at the first unveiling that the best surface treatment for a Cybertruck would be to drive through a huge mud puddle. Okay, Chris next aftermarket upgrade. Heat protective film on that huge skylight. I live in Southern California. Even on Thanksgiving if it's sunny I can roast the turkey in my front seat. One company wanted to put the film on the inside of the glass... and I balked. Wouldn't the outside be better? Couldn't find any clear information on what would be best to keep the heat out.

Vinyl wraps are inferior to ppf there are plenty of videos out there to demonstrate this. Vinyl wraps will only last 3 or 4 years where is paint protection film will last 7 to 10 years
