I completely understand, but please don't generalize. Biden and the Democratic Party have demonstrated that they know how to responsibly govern and treat our allies with respect. It is Donald Trump and the MAGA/Republican Party who are sowing chaos and making absurd threats against our allies. Hopefully, nothing will come of Trump's nonsensical threats. Typically Trump overreaches and then there is blowback. I expect the Democrats to make significant legislative gains in the 2026 mid-term elections which will serve as a check on his agenda.

Canada has been defended by the US. We’ve been at war to help allies in WW1, WW2, Korea, and Afghanistan and some other Middle East actions as well as peace keeping. US has never gone to war for Canada, but we did answer the NATO article 5 triggered by…American. It cost Canadian lives and $Billions. Yes we need to beef up our military but we don’t strictly owe the US more than the cost of the fleet of F-35 we’re purchasing.

Sure, but it won't win you the loyalty of a friendship nor the trust associated with it. America is only strong because its allies agree to use the dollar in trade. Allow American bases on their territory. The US wanted to be the dominant force in the alliance and even discouraged an integrated European armed force decades ago. Now that it was allowed, Trump sees his chance to bully, but 4 years from now, I wouldn't expect any of these countries to allow Trump to travel within their borders. They may even tax and investigate his investments out of existence.

Those European counties applied to join NATO, once they are members of NATO they are free to leave anytime as the UK did. Plus all the countries in NATO remain a sovereign country. What Trump is talking about is annexing other sovereign countries who are allies of the US, thus they will no longer be sovereign country, which is the same as what Putin is doing to Ukraine. The US already has trade agreements USMCA, prior to that NAFTA, plus Canada has been a good ally and neighbour to the US. Canada and Greenland do not want to become part of the US. Under Trump the US can not be trusted nor should be considered an ally.

I will explain to you what happened Hodges. Russians never ever threatened to attack the territory of the European Union, Ukraine is not the EU or NATO, but you Americans did, and we will take it seriously, as we always do!

Typical ruSSian imperialist nonsense. ruSSia has no right whatsoever to interfere in the decisions of a sovereign nation. The western allies liberated Europe while the Soviet Union occupied it. The countries that had ruSSia’s boot on their throat after 1945 are the ones most opposed to ruSSia. In Western Europe old men who liberated Europe 40 years ago are treated like gods by the grateful people living in freedom and prosperity. How would an old ruSSian veteran who brought nothing but decades of misery be greeted in Poland or the Baltics?

To maintain USD hedgemony, everything is on the cards. Canada's (Greenland) resources to support dollar's valuation, EU's disintegration to eliminate a potential reserve currency competitor. What? you thought its just CHYNAAAA?

@@yudodis you realize other countries can still trade with Panama and greenland, you think America can cope with a trade war and paying for trumps tariffs, i think not

@Sin3xtreme You're looking at things from a micro lens. This can be done several ways, directly and indirectly through forcing other countries to do or not do things. I'm not necessarily advocating this. I'm just letting you know that you're objectively incorrect, especially in the case of Panama.

Who did that? Ukraine was just minding its own business making its own decisions. Before Putin murdered him Prigozhin revealed why the war started - greedy oligarchs wanted to plunder Ukraine and the minister of defence, who wears a uniform but was never a soldier, wanted to be promoted to Marshal. It’s the same old story greed and hubris.

President Donald Elon is pretty interesting. 1. Opening strategy with probable Feds-Pentagon agreement or semi agreement. 2. Canada, Greenland & Panama is the US negotiate with EU to gain collaboration rivalry with Red China. 3. EU-CIS rivalry, US desire EU to take up the cost like the Ukraine gambit. 4. Illegals repatriation, US budget spending, US$ status quo ($ =50%, €=25%, ¥, J¥, £ & British commonwealth $ = 5% each) 5. IV IR standards and global niche sharing. Feds-Pentagon seems intend to force a Red China standard. 6. Russian Federation firepower exceed USA-EU combined, 6x more. Next step is WW3, advanced weapons. So, people sit tight and see what the FIVE POWER UN SECURITY COUNCIL PERMANENT member do next. 😂❤
