If you shut down the power to the US, you'd have to shut down power going to Canadians, because it's all intertwined. Canada has 46 % of the world's potash resources, Russia has in the mid 30s % and the US 9%. We keep American farm fields green. The Koch company is a huge exporter of fertilizer that could dry up as Canadian fertilizer becomes more attractive because of increased material cost. Last I checked oil is purchased all over the world and our heavy grade of oil is what US refineries are designed to process not the light shale oil the US is fracking. Canadian Uranium is the purest and highest grade in the world it requires less refining. Hmmm France just lost their source to cheap low grade uranium. Lumber, OK no one else build houses from wood but the US... Not! We're a hardware store, we've just been lazy selling to the easiest and most convenient buyer.

Plan B: Canada should think to join European Union like Norway while you became part of it but not member that we can pour natural sources to EU without additional tarrifs... I am all for a secure Canadian border but, Trump has border control backwards. It is a country’s authority to enact laws for entry into the country, and to enforce those laws; not the exit of things and people.
