And the company producing the parts withholds the manufacturing specs of the design during production. And the gun owner to be smart and practicing safety measures. Only being popular in your own country is a massive failure. Unless it's a small scale console only with the intention of selling it within its own borders. But unfortunately those two consoles were trying to compete with Nintendo first, then with Sony with the PS1 and the PS1 absolutely destroyed the Dreamcast, which I owned and loved. In the end, they got absolutely demolished by Sony and Nintendo and thus Sega pulled out of the console wars and became solely a developer/publisher; which has worked better for them anyways.

Hmmm now let’s see you’re the type that says Bethesda is trash even though they have a good track record. You’re the type to say Xbox is anti consumer for putting Bethesda as exclusive after PS5’s 2 timed exclusives. Yes we have wait and see. And no they’re not neck and neck. Xbox is heading a different route. Subscriptions are the future believe it or not. PlayStation is still using the old strategy of buy once play. Big deal ps5 sold out in japan.. WhAt a ShOcKeR. You know cos I’m not a fanboy, I can easily say PlayStation has good games. Maybe not as good as fanboys say it is. But they’re good. Xbox, well. The only reason Xbox gained any foothold at all in Japan with the 360 was because of Sony's missteps. The PS3 was too difficult to program for, meaning that development costs were a lot higher. To that nVidia did try what Google is trying now but it failed back in early 2007 when it tried it so they refined it and changed the business model to fit what we are willing to go with. The model nVidia is going with now seems to be working as $5/month is for a service without noticeable latency though you do have to be close to the server and you do have que lines to wait in, then you also have a limit on how long you single session can be until you go back into said que. Microsoft is hostiles towards physical copies and Japan loves physical copies, in Japan in 2017 over 70% of music sales were of physical copies. While all three of the console manufacturers are hostile towards physical copies, Microsoft is by far the most hostile, which is disappointing considering they were still promoting actual physical copies on PC (physical copies with the game on disc(s) and that don't require any scum digital distributor like Steam) while Valve was having their anti physical copy, pro digital distribution brainwashing campaign. Japan is the last bastion of physical copies, unfortunately they are faltering. They should resist digital distribution while they still can.

Jonathan Lunn You don’t own digital copies. If Nintendo, Microsoft, or Sony ban your account, you lose everything you’ve ever purchased through your account. 7:20 Now that's a fun fact. Because when Nintendo was planning the introduction of the Famicon (NES) to the American market, Nintendo America said they would need to redesign the console, since the Japanese one would not match the American style (and I agree). So when Nintendo Japan presented the redesigned NES (or Famicon) to Nintendo America, they said that they would need to tweak a little, because it was too bulky LOL

@@methos4866 You're focused on all the wrong things. This is the problem with most "monday morning analysts." Yes, Don Mattrick was an asshat. Yes, the Kinect 2.0 was a botch. Yes, the focus and marketing of the Xbox - while viable and accurate NOW - was ahead of its time, and the audience wasn't ready, even with considering how future-forward of a company Microsoft typically is. Yes, the Xbox One is a success for Microsoft, but NOT for the reason why YOU want it to be. The Xbox One's initial stumbling out of the gate opened the door for all the positives that came from the Xbox division: Xbox One Back Compat, Xbox Game Pass, the Xbox One X, Project xCloud, the emergence of XaaS (Xbox as a Service,) MLB the Show potentially coming to Xbox consoles, Minecraft crossplay between Switch, Xbox and PS4, the acquisition of over 10 different game studios all developing games for Xbox Game Studios, etc. It's a different type of victory that means all the same.
@methos48664 жыл бұрын
@@theretronavigator The initial marketing for the Xbox One is as misguided now as it was then. They can buy up all the studios and develop as much tech as they want but the current fact is that the system doesn't have the games to back it up.
