All characters who use abilities in cutscenes often use them in game as well and fu xuan used her ability to forsee the attack and repell the bullets. Thats a good indicator for her defensive role. U can feel free to disagree with that assessment.

I have him and believe he is underated. In particular his freezing is overlooked too much, with the right support he freezes over and over. Last but not least he should be placed either on the first or the last spot of the team (and the "tank" on the respective other side).

Gepard+Yanqing+Silver wolf sounds really good, hella expensive, but Gepard can shield him and silver wolf give Ice weakness, which is what Yanqing needs to perform at 120%

Why is the character's position in the team matter ?

@@CaptainTimo when a Enemy does a AoE attack it hits the target at the next two characters to it, of you keep the tank at end positions of the team, it will only hot the tank + the ally adjacent to it. This will lessen. The workload on your healer, and in Yanqing case, avoid him getting hit by AoE throw at the tank This does not apply to attacks that hit all 4 members regardless of position

It is important against blast attacks. The tank is most likely to be attacked and in the case of a a blast attack only one other character gets hit. This should never be Yanqing as he would loose some of his buffs by getting damaged.

Not really in deep endgame yet, but I've been messing around with Clara-M7-Yanqing-Natasha. The tandem of M7 shields & Clara drawing aggro, really makes using YQ seamless. The damage is really nice, and the follow ups from the team work well!

i often use tingyun instead of natasha on my mem chaos team, she can buff dmg yanqing and buff energy for clara taunt uptime.

Honestly Yanqing is the standard 5* that I'm most looking forward to getting in the future just so I can slot him as a flex into my Clara team. I'm fairly lacking in single target dps with my Clara team, and while Dan Heng functions decently well, I'm really interested in looking at Yanqing since his gimmick is alleviated decently just by having good taunts. M7 can even shield Yanqing if needed and between his own intrinsically lower aggro as a hunt character, Soulsteel Sync further reducing his aggro, Clara's intrinsically high aggro as a destruction character, as well as Clara's ult giving extra taunt, Yanqing shouldn't be getting hit enough to break the shield even with the taunt from M7's shield. He might not be the one I end up choosing for my standard banner guarantee at 300 (Bronya and Welt are super tempting, especially as I have Bronya's light cone), but I would very much welcome him if I end up pulling him on standard or losing 50/50 to him.

March can cover the defense tho and keep him relatively unscathed for most encounters. Only the biggest of damaging AOE's can honestly pierce her shield generally. So it's not an unfeasable thing to do as F2P if you got him.

Also worth to mention - Sushang's light cone seems really good for him, too. His skill (that you use every time) without any procs gives him 4 stacks instantly (32% dmg bonus), and with high superimposition levels it stacks up to 80% dmg bonus.

I might have missed it if it was mentioned already, but on top of being a Hunt character, Soulsteel Sync also reduces Yanqing's aggro even further. Its a really nice feature for him to have and I think he has one of the most well thought out kits in game atm.

I think he has a more complicated kit than most characters will ever have in the game. But we also have a f2p quantum DPS unit that has 200 year syndrome as well.

So I know I'm a minority here but the Gamba gods blessed me with 3 of Yanqing and let me tell you... e2 is no joke. Dealing more damage to frozen enemies and generating more energy is fantastic and really skyrockets him. While I'm sure Gepard is the best choice for him I didn't get Gepard... but March or Fire TB have often been enough to keep him pretty safe in most cases. March also has the benefit of triggering a lot more freeze procs overall too. I thing Yan is gonna end up similar to Xiao in several ways. He's good at pumping out numbers and is greedy about it but needs a bit of protection to pull it off... but with him basically getting so much free crit chance, you can gear more into the damage stats an start seeing some real scary numbers.

Problem is getting gepard, march 7 is okay, but her shield also highly increases the chance of yanqing being attacked which is not ideal. I got yanqing along with his 5 star weapon. He's highly reliant on gepard, whom I unfortunately dont have. Fire trailblazers shield is non-existent, so most of the time they'll just hit right through the shield when you dont taunt them or they resist it.

Might be wrong here but if you want to use yanqing you could use fire trail blazer and Natasha/March 7th to draw the aggro for yanqing I’m not sure how well it would work as I don’t have yanqing yet but I think it could be worth a try unless you’re in aoe in which case it’s just kinda rough

I'm not at the point where I'm fighting lvl 80 enemies while at lvl 60, mostly because I really don't want to burn myself out on the game and spending hours doing attempts is gauranteed to make me quit, but pulling YQ on the beginner banner originally heavily disappointed me, however he let me progress faster than all my friends who started playing at the same time as me. The others almost universally got Bronya and ironically struggled to get through a lot of the content I breezed through.

As Yangqing as first 5star and my current main, I approved. When you select specific buff for him he can almost replace seele as he does a lot of damage with freeze. Also he does 20k+ total dmg and got me the achievement when he still level 20 not so long after game open

Sadly I don't have Tingyun yet but next banner I'll be using all my saved pulls for Jing Yuan and am bound to get her on that banner :D Gepard and Yanqing are an insane combo though and a ton of fun! In my experience the best option for F2P is to just build both march and fire mc, then just swap them depending if the enemies do more AOE or single target damage. Fire mc can tank all the single target hits and for march it doesnt matter that the skill takes agro since everyone takes damage.

I run a mono ice team since I lucked out and pulled Pela until she was E6, thought I got screwed in pulls when I got Gepard twice. Nope. I ended up pulling a couple March dupes and a Yanqing. I figured who cares about a healer since I have two shielders, and good god this team shreds, Pela just snatches defense and buffs and causes yanqinq to go god mode. She does massive damage as well once you get her E6. The shields are always up, enemies are consistently getting frozen.

@@RogerNbrIt’s usually fine, but if you already have both and wanna make it a busted team, you could pull Silver Wolf for a mono team that absolutely shreds resists, defense, and toughness. Should be really powerful in most situations since you can always use your other team for ice resists, but even those are gonna have most of their resistance stripped. His teams are expensive, which is why he’s not generally recommended, but he has high potential.

nah speed is gonna be important. When you fight higher level enemies like lvl85+, they get 30% more speed than the enemies of the same name. So that 120 speed enemy is going to be 160~. If you are too slow in the end game, you are just gonna be put down.

But when we are fighting lvl 85+ enemies, speed is going to be the most important stat. All enemies in the end game get 30% more speed as base speed. Simply as that. That's not a buff or whatever. Mihoyo literally just give them 30% more base speed to increase the difficulty. Some enemies are 120~ speed in the early game. With a free 30%, they are as fast or faster than Seele buffed. Going slow tanks, will not be viable as they will just get cut down when the enemies go twice in a cycle. And it's not like speed stats and cycles are a new mechanic. In games like Epic 7, speed is the MOST important stat to ensure that you don't get 1 shot. Even the turtle comps in that game require high speed stats.

i mean if you using speed in your gear then the only source atk is only glove and probally rope. and i wonder how importan having Energy Recharge in rope. so yea at least you wanna have atk buffen character or artifact/ light con effect so you can spread your stat. but yea thats end game, its talk about character viability and what they offer. i dont have any character so thats will make like a month.

You can use fire mc. Put Yangqing in 1 or 4, then fire mc in 1 or 4. It isn't as effective as gepard. But it's better than any setup.

Having lots of success in a team of Yanqing, Gepard, Bronya/Tinyun and Bailu/Natasha Second floor being Seele, Bronya/Tingyun Trailblazer Fire, Bailu/Natasha tldr I do have e6 and s5 Seele and Yanqing is still competing even with Seele's lightcone

Yanqing and Gepard have disgustingly good synergy in the same way Seele and Bronya do. Yanqing doesn't wanna take damage; and Gepard makes sure that he doesn't take damage. With that being said I agree that Yanqing is disgustingly good if and when you can achieve this combo.

I started off with yanqing on day 1 ..bro still smashing..then got seele..then bailu..and then clara..and now seele cone ..f2p..lvl 41 tb lvl..i want yanqing gear so bad.i usually pair him up with clara since clara has a good taunt skill as well so he ready gets away not getting hit

Something else I'd like to point out, is that you previously said (in another video) that Gepards self-revive isn't useful because "if he's dead, then your entire team is already dead too", but that doesn't actually make sense because he's the one taking all the damage due to his threat increases. It even happened in this very video @14:29.

My gepard only has 1600 defence for reference my FMC has 2800 he is just really undergeared rn. I don't see him dying after he has around 3k defence in endgame but I'm sure it's a nice safety net anyways!
