Ironically, Anakin would be the perfect candidate to confide in about what Yoda had seen on Dagobah. 1) Yoda was communing with Qui-Gon, someone Anakin had a personal attachment to. 2) He would feel validated that the grandmaster of the order is placing the utmost trust in him, which he badly needed. 3) Anakin is no stranger to being unorthodox in his approach to being a jedi. Being an outsider in the order is something he can relate to. 4) He is no stranger to keeping secrets from the rest of the order, given his secret relationship to Padme. If Anakin had been privy to what Yoda was experiencing, it would have helped him make a lot more sense of the importance of spying on Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith. He would have known a mission like this was coming, and been more ready to take the responsibility seriously.

Possibly the defining characteristic of the Jedi isn’t telekinesis, rather their extra sensory perception. From seeing future events to sensing feelings and danger to knowing your opponent’s movie ahead of time while dueling. And when it comes to Jedi with strong links, like between master and apprentice or father and son, that connection is stronger. Yoda felt many Jedi being killed across the galaxy with the sense of betrayal and merely sense the trooper’s intentions while coming up behind him. And they already had reason to mistrust the clones from the start. Combine that with Mace’s intuition,.. No convoluted external explanation needed.

And Yoda, like most Jedi, can sense strong feelings and intentions around them, and he likely felt the death of hundreds of Jedi from around the galaxy, each echoing a sense of betrayal. Especially since he has probably trained most of them. (Correction. You meant that the Jedi could have picked up on this in (TPM)

It could have made a difference in a couple wats: remove all the artifacts and data from the Jedi temple. I’d guess that a ship or two the size of the big-ass freighter Han and Chewie are in, in The Force Awakens, could hold all that. Remove all the younglings and padawans who were not yet strong enough to defend themselves. Do this part slowly, so as not to arouse suspicions, like not-Jar Jar did in the Grogu flashback. Ultimately, since one of the Temple guards had already turned to the dark side, I’m not sure how much prep would get done. But something. Take different routes, so a huge exodus wouldn’t be seen, but eventually arrive at some backwater Outer Rim world (not Tattooine). I don’t think that anyone in the Republic or Jedi knew what form the rebels would take. Maybe a couple Venators and a couple Acclimators, plus a bunch of those tiny-ass Jedi fighters. Just like the Rebellion did later, just keep the Jedi fleet moving. Yoga’s logic here is… flawed. If he wanted to manipulate the Jedi into staying behind… not his MO, but at least lying by omission would further that goal. But here he’s choosing inaction because he can’t see the right action. To borrow from lightsaber combat, if you see no way to attack the enemy, stay alive long enough to find a way. Run. Hide. Whatever. I hear that after not too long, Camino runs out of platforms above water. And there’s probably some Mon Calimara looking for a place to live. Camino is not on any maps Whatever the name of the planet they get kybher crystals from would also be a good choice. There’s nothing there, and it eventually just gets converted to Starkiller Base anyway. I bet it would surprise the First order if 1000 full grown, fully trained Jedi showed up from inside the cave structures.

I just thought of something: part of Yoda's vision was seeing a group of Jedi fighting a group of Clones. This includes Mace, Obi-Wan, and Luminara, all of whom were nowhere CLOSE to one another during Order 66. What if this battle from was another timeline? A road not taken? What if Yoda COULD have saved the Jedi had he simply acted? Probably not, but it's interesting to think about. We always see in media/entertainment about people making horrible visions/prophecies/futures happen because they tried to PREVENT those things. It'd be kind of interesting to see someone receive a vision/prophecy of a bad future, not doing anything to prevent it because they think it inevitable...only for their REFUSAL to change the future causing that bad possibility. You don't see that very often:/

Stunning and yet relieving Yoda was out of the veil of the dark-side long enough to make the propers decisions as a Grandmaster throughout this time. Although I wonder why he didn't give heads up to Masters Unduli, Vos and any others during the Battle, it also makes more sense why Kashyyyk was ready for the Empire and were attacked fully than earlier systems were (one of many reasons I should say).

I believe the force understood balance was just tipped too far towards the dark and knew it had to save Yoda to maintain balance. It warned him ahead and gave him that advanced notice at that time. Yoda and obi wan had to live to keep balance

It would of made a huge difference for The Sith, had Yoda told the Jedi council of the coming darkness it's a bit tragic, but all evidence points to him being forcibly demoted and under arm guard and while Yoda is powerful he'd of been on Corasaunt at the time of Order 66, and considering Yoda wasn't ready for Palpatine when Yoda himself ambushed Palpatine, the roles being reversed would of been certain doom for the Jedi grandmaster.

This was one of my issues with TCW show and the tie-in EU. By trying to fill in a plot hole where there wasn’t an issue, they un-necessarily convoluted it to the point were I was actually upset. According to the movie Yoda went to Kashyyyk because it was a planet too important to loss and he had good relations with them. And he felt the death of the other Jedi and sense of betrayal across the galaxy as well as the threat to himself because we know that Jedi can feel such things through the Force.

I found the answer, palpatine and Dooku created the clone army after the events of episode 1. Palpatine already decided he wanted anakin at that point, making him exempt from the order. In the clone wars episode “the unknown.” Tup does not activate the inhibitor chip until he sees a Jedi other than anakin.

Honestly I think it made no sense him staying quiet. The future is not certain according to Jedi teachings and the very least they should have investigated the clone chips but the plot was real 😹 I loved the series though. So let me get this straight. Yoda realised that Order 66 was inevitable and the Jedi will fall. Yet instead of preparing contingencies such as copying the archives to hidden locations or sending some forgettable Jedi on far away missions and deleting their records, he just sat there doing nothing and hoping he gets lucky enough to catch Sidious with his pants down. No wonder the Jedi lost.

Anakin was born to restore balance to the Force. Most fans think Sidious was the cause of the imbalance. My opinion is that it was caused by the Jedi. They had become too arrogant and controlling. They believed in themselves more than they believed in the Force. Rather than allow the Force to guide them, they treated the Force like a mere tool. The Force put a stop to that. I think Yoda was probably the least corrupted Jedi, due to his age. He was trained at a time when the Jedi were more dependent upon the Force. I think after Yoda arrived on Dagobah he came to realize how corrupt the Jedi had become and that they couldn't be entirely trusted. He knew the dark time was inevitable. All he could do was try to protect the Jedi order from complete extermination. Yoda was right not to tell the Jedi. Yoda knew that since the Jedi would never let go of control and allow the Force to act that it wasn't safe to give them that information. Even if they defeated Sidious, they would have simply set themselves up in his place.

Yoda had several force bonds within the Jedi Order considering he literally had a hand in training many of the younglings who are beginning their first steps into their training, and with those bonds they ended up sending their deaths across the Force and Yoda was able to feel all of his students deaths.
