I love haggling at dealerships and have no problem doing it. I go in knowing exactly what I want, what I want to/or should pay and accessories I want added in deal. After several days or hours of haggling, I usually save $2k to $3k and get free stuff added like all weather floor mats, window tint, spray in bedliner (if truck), etc. I’ve also haggled for friends and family members which saved them thousands of dollars. To me, it’s actually fun because I like the challenge.

I purchased a Honda Accord from CarMax four years ago. Only 4K miles and two year old car. I felt price was more than fair for that car after comparing with different sources like you had mentioned. Some people say their prices are inflated but I felt it was fair. I don’t like the bs you have to go through at a dealership so that why I purchased a car from them. Thanks for sharing this video.

Was just thinking about this. The "haggling" and "applying pressure" is so annoying. Just give me the damned price, let me make my down payment, and let me go. I'll PAY that 500ish to save 4-8 hours at the dealership.

I think especially if you are getting a reliable car like toyota/lexus. I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra. Tops, 1k. I don't particularly like salesmen because I just feel like they are trying to clean my pockets and, to be quiet honest, im not so good at negotiation. Who knows, a salesmen might even get me to spend more money than the no haggles. Id rather just go the no hassle way and pay a little over and be done with it.

Problem is, near me, almost all the local dealerships are no-haggle now. Also, some have fine print, like must finance through them to get the price or $2000 or trade down required. Then there's doc fees and everything else they try to sell. I want the price out the door. If you're not a good negotiator, the best thing to do is a lot of comparison shopping. One trick I've used- ask them which car has been sitting and they really want gone. You know, the one with the bad color combination. If you can live with things like that, you can save a little money. They try to befriend you, so why not do the same to them?

These internet no haggle used car dealerships do negotiate, when it comes to the value of your trade in vehicle as well as the cost to finance the car your considering purchasing. Make sure you always get a Car Fox report. Check where the car you want to purchase was garaged. Norther states have a lot of snow and ice. Salt is used on the roads and cars exposed to such condition long term are subject to rust. The same applies if the car was garaged in a coastal area. Rust is a big problem for anything metal in coastal areas. Was the car your considering involved in an accident? If so, it’s worth less money regardless of the severity of the accident. Has the car been serviced regularly by the previous owner? One owner cars are obviously more desirable than multiple owners. Sports cars and Jeeps are subject to having been abused. Jeeps that have been seriously off roaded are potential money pits. Luxury cars are notorious for severe depreciation in the first five years, especially Cadillac, BMW, and Mercedes. Jeeps and Asia cars tend to hold their value the best.

Bro spot on but this applies to so much more than just car dealerships. This is how the media operates, politics, elections, colleges, schools, even marriages and relationships ….they will all take you for a ride! You are the prey! You need to be savvy, intelligent, cunning, WISE, patient….to have a chance at winning (if such a thing even exists).

Car salespeople are also extremely skilled in HIGH PRESSURE SALES...and THAT is where the ordinary consumer gets burned. Never underestimate the capacity for human greed...and that goes ESPECIALLY for salespersons, regardless of the product. I would rather do business with a dealership like CARVANA where the price quoted is the price paid, than with some slick-as-catshit salesperson trying his/her damndest to sell me on accessories that I don't want or even care about just so they can inflate the price. It's bad enough they don't tell you, right out, everything you need to know about a particular sale. So...to me, this is all sour grapes on their part because they are DENIED the opportunity to eff you over with a deal that benefits THEM more than it does YOU (ME).

Carmax is not a good place to buy a vehicle they sell cars with tons of miles that have hidden mechanical problems and often recalls for super high interest rates, typically the car does not even last you as long as the loan. Been seeing loads of positive reviews on Carvana but the prices are high compared to dealerships. Also, I got preapproved for a 10.97% APR. So I guess I have two options; 1. Buy a car from a dealership that sticks to my budget and use my credit union's preapproval with low APR, risking mechanical issues 2. Buy a a car from Carvana that's outside my budget with high APR and having the 7 day return policy along with the 30 day free mechanical fixtures if there are any. 🤦🏽♀️Jesus be a fence!!
