Being able to do a front level even for 1 second is far beyond what most people can do. But being able to hold it even for 2 seconds is a world of difference in terms of difficulty
@Danyel615Ай бұрын
The initial movement looked quite clean to be honest. Maybe just a litle bit of work towards the hold but already 90% there. Edit: clearly this is controversial! To clarify I do strict front levers myself. I think we should remember that we do this for fun and and not for the sake of being perfect. Of course it is fun to try to improve our form everytime.

This guy runs a KZbin channel on fitness and is actually competent. You guys (including OP but also some of the replies here) on the other hand obviously don't know what you're talking about. Why do you pretend like you do? Not being able to hold the form of an exercise for less than a second, simply means it's too challenging for the level the person is at. That is not disrspctful or hrsh, it's simply the honest truth. You should *appreciate* an expert giving advice on how to train an exercise with the proper progression for your individual level, not speak up against him in the comments.

Back and core. Your arms and lats are basically doing a static and challenging pulldown, your shoulders and mid traps are staying centrated instead of sagging to the floor, and your core and quads are holding your body flat with no support whatsoever. Imagine sliding your legs off the end of a bench and keeping them up in line with your torso, how much work that would be. Then take away the whole bench lol.

Front levers are holds for time, he didn't hold it at all, just swung up and down again while shaky. The tucked lever is the right progression for him, as you saw, he could just about hold that for 10 seconds with a struggle. The only reason you're leaving comments like this is because you know so little you have no idea what you're looking at. Maybe watch a vid on Dunning Kruger next.

@@Skirk84 sounds like maybe the core is the weak link there. Perhaps try reverse crunches for the lower abs.
@Skirk84Ай бұрын
@erenjaegerbomb8653 sort of yeah, but I do candlesticks without any issue. Reverse crunches I've never done until just then, it's just a very easy version of many other exercises... Maybe with like 20kg on my ankles would be ok, but there's no resistance once you get to the top, that's why I usually do hanging leg raises with weight strapped to my ankles. I feel like it's more lower back and hip movements, my hip/pelvis positive and anterior tilt is weak. Like if there's any resistance there I struggle. I don't do any exercises for those in particular... I don't know any. I've never thought about it until just now.
@winterlandscapes23 күн бұрын
bent-arm strength has low transfer to straight-arm strength. you need far more neurological adaptation. the core isn’t the problem, the issue is not producing enough torque to keep yourself in the position.
