I feel the same. I get random jolts/twitches in my legs/arms/fingers ESPECIALLy at night, its pretty minor but it's there and really keep me awake, I googled it and they start saying horrific things..which I think is adding to my anxiety and just worsening it even more. I did have a horrible sleeping schedule for past 3 months cause quarintine so I'm trying to fix it now (hoping it's reason i am getting these)

If someone has twitches due to stress and anxiety then don't freak just ignore them. Tell your brain it's harmless again and again, breathe in and breathe out, move your body and engage yourself in some activity. I know it's easier said than done but these are the things that helped me. Hope it helps someone 🙏🙏

I have an enormous twitch only in my index finger of the right hand. Incidentally, it's the one I use the most--from bass playing to typing and browsing with my computer mouse. Also, I've been really stressed lately and have had sleep deprivation. I'm glad to know that these are the causes, though, haha I was worried it might've been an underlying disease or something bad like that.

I was surprised there was no mention of Magnesium. Why not it helps with muscle function? Thanks for the other info.

We talk about magnesium in a lot of other videos; primarily for cramping...I wanted to cover some other lesser-known causes for twitches in this video, rather than cramps. 😄

there's a lot of other things you can try, as suggested in the video. Maybe work with a functional medicine practitioner who can get at the root cause. Maybe acupuncture as well!

my twitching started on a night i stayed up the whole night and i thought it was cuz of lack of sleep but it’s been a few days and it’s still twitching and i’m eating well staying hydrated and getting decent sleep. 90% of my twitches are on my right feet like the side bottom ish part and sometimes my other muscles like calves quads twitch what is this?

All my muscles in my body took turns of being sore. One day my calf’s, next thighs, next upper buttocks, arms. Now my muscles twitch throughout the day. I of course Googled my symptoms and diagnosed myself with MS/ALS/Lyme Disease as they all correlate. I was already dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety and this really put me over the edge. I am now taking anxiety medication. It’s been awful.
