There are benefits to solo dev, and same for working in a team. No right or wrong way. Pick what works best for you and pursue it passionately!

I've always aspired to be a solo developer, doing all the work for myself and thinking it was cool, but as I matured, I realized that if I wanted to create my dream game, I'll need to do it with my dream team. "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.".

Brooo that can happen time to time, but the worst thing is actually SCOPE CREEP, I experienced it so much times and made not one video about it, and that thing is REALLY hard to avoid, but definitely possible!

I’m new-ish to learning everything but I only ever had issues with ‘too much scope’ when I was initially dreaming of being a developer. The more I learn about programming and art, the more my priorities are evening out. Dream, forget your dream, learn, remember your dream, change your dream to match scope. :)

Love your content man. Can someone answer me this: if I select Unity to make my game, am i restricted to release it only on Steam? For console it says that you need to have the pro license, 200 dollars a month. If this is the case it is worse to use Unity (only steam) instead of Unreal (problably more than steam, not sure)?.

You are making good point Thomos, But finding a person with skill is not easy, most game dev are at beginner stage!

I'm new solo game developer, i'm not ready to build a team because, first i don't have money to pay them and second start as a game developer without experience. I already make few small games but i didn't publish them. but this year i want make games publish and earn money

I think that’s one of the main issues, is that we need to pay the team or they need to be compensated somehow.. this ties a lot into capitalism and consumerism, which, unfortunately as much as I complain about them, this is how society is run and we have to learn how “to milk the cow”, so to speak…

Curious. If you were to search indie games that were still in development to help with their game. Shoot even for free, to gain XP. What would be a good way to go about it? Or is that against etiquette or annoying?

Can you make a tutorial on how to create a 2D fog of war for rts game simialr to (cossacks game) The FOW should work with URP and is included in the minimap. It would be awesome if you did such a tutorial, because there are no tutorials on that! There are only tutorials for 3D and they use projector which doesn't work with SpriteRenderer.
